Anyone near Aurora CO?

Anyone near Aurora, CO that could check out a helmet from a guy on Craigslist? I want to buy it, but I'm really leery of all the scams and such.

Anyone know a safe way to do a transaction for both parties? He doesn't want paypal unless I do it as friend because he says last guy stiffed him by claiming he received an empty box.

 

Well, the cash part would be fine if I had a person there, but since I can't see the guy and really know that he's not trying to scam me I don't want to just send him some cash. It'd be different if he was an established forum user or something like that, but since he's just a random craigslist dude I really have no way of knowing. I think I'll just buy new and save myself the headache.

 

I tried the brand, size, model from another VFRW member and I liked it so when I found one used for a good deal I was interested. I'm just too skittish of online scams to just trust someone with my $500 without having met him.
