    Hi All,

I took off and replaced my emblems today. Just in case anyone else is interested:

Took an Amazon gift card – 30 mil thick plastic card - and pressed the flat edge diagonally down against the gap between the emblem and the gas tank. Sorry, I didn’t think to take pictures while the emblems were still on the tank.

The emblems have a pretty much vertical edge and the gap between the edge of the emblem and tank is pretty small but with a little muscle, the card will eventually work its way underneath – gradually added pressure to the card and when the card finally got under the edge of the emblem, there was an audible popping sound (each time).

I then pushed the card further under the emblem and gently pried/lifted it away from the tank. The emblems are held on by two sided thin foam tape and came away pretty clean.

If you have a thinner plastic card, maybe 20 mil or so, I think it will be easier to work under the edge of the emblem.

I’ve always preferred the Honda Wing logo as a decal/sticker rather than an emblem so I may add a wing later on, this one has a clear backing/background.

The OEM emblems around about 62mm in diameter and the backs are pretty much flat (logo surface being convex). The ones I replaced them with are 60mm and size-wise fit pretty good.

No thanks, I find the emblems lends a touch of class over a cheap decal. To me the 8th gen has the highest level of fit and finish as is.

The bat emblems are cool. With 2-3 of those stuck on a bike and a Batman outfit, one could be a big hit at bike nights.

This may suffice to answer the question of what happened to The Boy Wonder.

Yeah I really like the badges on the 8th gen - I could be wrong but it seems that Honda reserves them for only their more expensive models. But it's nice that they can be so easily swapped out for something custom as Samuel has done or just temporarily covered up I think as in the case of rckrzy's BMW badges :glee: http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/index.php?/forums/topic/85707-incognito/

I might have to look for one with a Gator on it instead of a bat :witless:
