No unnecessary comment at all but as you commented I will tell you why I posted.

I commented because I have spent countless hours over the past years trying to extricate folk from vehicles, in order to save their lives (when I say people I mean kids as well). Caused by folk driving whilst under the influence.

For all you know 2 minutes later he could have crossed that centre line into an oncoming vehicle or into a bus stop filled with people. Its called civil duty.

How would you feel if your partner or kids were killed as a result of someone driving under the influence? Devastated no doubt.

How would you feel if you had seen that vehicle say half an hour earlier and done nothing about it?

So I stand by my statement. I also agree with your statement keeping them for home.

More a question than a comment IMO. Did you or didn't you? Or better yet should this be SOP or not?

Dudes driving shitface or riding shitface ought not to be on the road. Current technology allows, so why not?

OOTV's video is exactly why I ride only out of town. Driving is a lost skill anymore if it was ever found by some people. In 9500 miles, I only have one 30 mile trip to meet a friend in town. To me, my bike is a recreational toy only and not used for running errands or transportation I could do in a cage. When I ride, it's over the mountain I live on, a quick 2 mile sprint on a lightly traveled 4 lane then I'm in the county, mountains and twisties where very few people are on the roads. I've also learned not to pass immediately when I come upon a car. Too many clowns like to speed up when I pass or they speed up when I come up behind them, or they never know I'm there and they're all over both lanes while fucking with a cell phone. If they speed up, I just stay back until they get tired of it and slow back down to their capabilities, then I drop in into 3rd gear and pass quick.

I see evidence that the whiter color of the LED lights on the 8th gen. do garner more attention than non-led's. I also like the trigger switch for the "blink to pass" on the 8th gen. I use it when my gut tells me someone is checked out. I'll be out tomorrow in the mountains finishing off a rear tire.

Not in Canada. I think it may be that many places over on your side of the puddle, it is required. A good requirement at that.

Actually, when I think about it, my truck does. Pull the signal switch to temporary activate high beams and push it for full time high beams.

I've seen it on a few bikes, my '95 Super Sport has one. Im trying to remember if the '17 Super Sport has one too, I think it does. Who knows, it might be a European thing that the Japanese aren't too keen to copy.

They know who you are and they are after you. Pissing off those ol country boys ain't real smart. If you were on a Harley it would be OK.

Some bikes and cars are probably wired for that. My 79 BMW R100 is a Euro model and I have an old Mercedes that was wired for that horn/bright light function. Probably not legal in most states.

Probably found on Ferraris too. When I get mine, I'll let you know.
