Was that insane or what?! Never seen anything like that before! Have to say that all three classes had good racing today. Just finished watching Moto2 and wow, almost all the way to the end, were the front two setting record paces!

 

For sure. Best race this year across all classes IMHO.

 

Moto 3 is usually insane but this was ...... wow just nuts! Never seen a pile up like that. Oil is a bad thing.

 

And Miller was very lucky, that was an ugly crash.

 

Tell that to K&N!

Watching it happen was so surreal, it was like a well choreographed ballet!

 

LOL, should send them an edited video of a K&N being installed then cut to that.

The hospital where he was being treated in Buffalino, Cessana, they have issued a statement which many people are responding to amongst them Valentino Rossi who said " I've lost the best friend I ever had in the paddock"

 

Nicky Hayden, “The Kentucky Kid”, an incredible motorcycle racer, and an immense human being, has passed away from injuries he sustained after being struck by a car while cycling, training in Italy.

I have been a fan of motorcycle racing for as long as I can remember, and I shared that love with my wife and family. We watched Nicky Hayden from his emergence on the national scene in 2000, and have seen almost every race since then, as I religiously watched motorcycle racing weekend after weekend, for these past 17 years.

The Hayden family has 3 sons in motorcycle racing, and my wife has always been a fan of theirs; but, Nicky was always her favorite. The inspirational generosity he showed, and that infectious smile, were things my wife identified with, and he always had a soft place in her heart.

We are greatly saddened by his passing. We cannot imagine what his family and fiancé are going through. Fan’s world-wide have shown an incredible outpouring of love and thanks for the chance to have had him part of their lives.

Thank you Nicky Hayden and the Hayden family for sharing their son with us. You will be missed.
