Nicky complaining about Honda, and he never complains...

Jorge saying Ducati needs to be more like Yamaha; that never goes over well with the Italians...

Me thinks the winds of change are starting to blow...

I think your right, if they really wanted to win in WSBK they would be.... eventually. Even if they were pumping in money and support I think they might keep Nicky, he's good at development and is good public relations too. And the big red wheel keeps rolling very slowly. I think they are more focused on ADV and all the smaller cc bikes that are sold in huge numbers around the world for commuting.

lol, reminds me of Rossi trying to give feedback to the Ducati team. But that was a totally different team that would not take Rossi's input. And GG fired most of them when he took over.

    GUY MARTIN & the TT

Not good news for the large number of people who've booked and paid to go to the TT just to see Guy win a TT because it's not going to happen this year

The bikes being delivered to the UK so late (Feb) has meant everything has had to be learned quickly, this also isn't happening, at Cookstown last weekend he's was 1.6 seconds a lap quicker on a CBR600 RR than on the factory Fireblade, on a circuit under 3 miles is a lot, with the NW200 in a few days there's more work needed than either Honda or Guy can manage

After coming 5th in the Superbike race, 3.6 seconds a lap slower than Derek Sheils on a 3 yr old GSX1000, he didn't go out in the other race "there's nothing to be learned" ??

He's not getting on with the electronics, plus it's down on power .... John McGuiness wasn't speaking

How do you know he is good at development? That isn't something that gets mentioned with Nicky. Everybody always says, nice guy, never complains, works hard....I don't think I've ever heard anybody say that he is around to develop anything. Honda will listen to Honda, and maybe Marc or Dani, that's it. I will almost guarantee Dani will be around long after Nicky is gone to carry the brand rep flag. Southeast Asia is the market, and they really like Dani, especially the Japanese.

How about all the work he did with Honda in 07 right after he won the GP championship? HRC hired him on a 2 year contract to help develope the RCV212 800cc with pneumatic valves.

Or him and Edwards work and racing and championships with th RC 51. His lastest endevors in WSBK have not been good but from what I can tell honda is not throwing the big bucks in WSBK.

Seriously?, Honda gave Nick a contract for winning the WC (2006). Then he was summarily punted to the curb in favor of Dani and the bike was changed to the point it didn't suit his style and he went to die at Ducati.

As far as the RC-51, that bike was solely created to beat Ducati and their displacement advantage in WSBK and Colin rode it for an entire 2 years (2000 - WSBK Campionship, 2001) before Nicky won a championship on it (2002 - AMA Chmpionship). The AMA Spec bike used WSBK parts....developed by Edwards. Sorry, man, I really like Nicky and would love to see him do well too...but ya gotta get off the koolaid.

AND, to think that Honda gave up development of the V4 in WSBK to go V-twin as the only way to beat Ducati's rule advantage, man, that really was the turning point for Honda...WAY back then. Honda have never recovered and that was 14 fucking years ago. They haven't had a factory supported team in the Superbike class of any series since 2002 - the year Nicky rode the RC-51 to the AMA Championship.......Colin only recently stopped doing development riding for Yamaha, how do I know?

The woes are for the people that want to see a return to the ingenuity and will to win that they used to demonstrate. Which is basically anybody outside of Southeast Asia. Honda knows where the money is, and it isn't in the US or Europe. they basically don't care, the products they sell in the US alone should indicate that they don't think the US market is worth listening to.....the 8th gen VFR and the VFR12 should tell you all you need to know. Enjoy MotoGP, or pick another manufacturer.

We all know that Dani has it in him, as witnessed last weekend but I'm actually more impressed with Jorge...4th overall at the end of FP2. Although I'm not a big fan of JL, I do have respect for his riding ability and records he holds. I think whatever he found in Texas, he's brought it home with him. I'd really like to see him take the Ducati to the front and battle it out with the status quo.
