Does anyone have any advice on a good Moto tent for storage since I won't have a garage--- any help would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I know the covers from Cycle Gear are not water proof! Suggest covering bike with cheap plastic drop cloth, then put cover over it.
If you have an outside wall to park the bike against the the Germans have come up with this .. http://lanesplitter.jalopnik.com/this-telescopic-bike-shed-is-a-mini-haven-for-the-gara-1652491260 Otherwise there are loads of throw over covers of widely varying quality - cheap stuff from Walmart through to real quality like the Oxford Stormex covers. That's a cool storage but no walls. Stayin in a fifth wheel so thinkin under the front where the king pin is with a good quality cover. The owner said they also sell a skirt that connects to the front of the trailer for storage--- Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've seen one that is like a dome and it basically goes over the top of the bike from end to end. I'll see if I can find a link but it looks to be a bit more substantial than a typical cover. Found what I was looking for: Here... http://www.cycleshell.com/ Here... http://www.cycleshelter.com/ and here too... http://www.speedwayshelters.com/
I would shy away from "covering" or "wrapping" the bike with plastic unless there is ample air movement beneath. If it stops water from getting in, it also traps moisture underneath. That equates to rust. A little rain will not hurt your bike so long as the bike is ridden. If it is being stored for a period of time, that is a different story.
You front the money for the factory set up, design and manufacture and we will share profits cause it was my idea. And it was exhausting too. But I don't do losses. You will need to take care of that too.
I just called the company and it is water resistant. They can't really say waterproof, simply because nothing really is, except keeping your bike indoors such as a garage or your livingroom. It's a really good price too!
Or this one specifically for rain protection. Has hidden vents, breathable soft interior, etc http://oxford-products.com/us/products/Rainex.html
Thanks Frank, not that it rains here much plus it will under the front of the trailer which is fine by me, Plus I really like the price
Decorate it with desiccant packs before wrapping https://www.amazon.com/Silica-Desiccant-Dry-Packs-Prevent-Corrosion/dp/B004N6JQFW
So just got this cover that fits great with my V47 top box for just under $50 including shipping. Also has a buckle that snaps together under the middle bottom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
the problem with tents-is water rusting from under the tents, make sure you can seal up the floor too. covers don't protect 100% if the floor gets damp.
