Just got done chatting with a member of another forum who works for Honda and he saw a picture today of the new Honda 1000 for 2008. He would not provide any info concerning engine configuration or if it will carry a VFR or CBR designation, but the one thing he did say was "Watch out, the bike is going to change things" He also said the bike is going to be very sporty and equally fast. Honda will make the formal announcement and introduction of the bike tomorrow 9/05. He will see the bike in person tomorrow or Thursday and will send me pictures as soon as he sees the actual bike. I will post as soon as I get them.

Ditto that! If I wanted an inline 4, I'd spring for a CBR. V4 for me, please.

And according to Honda's website, there is no CBR1000RR in 08. It does not appear anywhere in the 08 model lineup.

They pulled the 08 1000RR pics. Check 1000rr.net. Many are displeased.

Let the deserved flaming begin. I fell for the hype and all I got was 2 black eyes. Sorry to all, there is much to be said for the "better than thought a fool than proved a fool" adage. Man that hurt!
