Apparently, there's some concern the TBR header will interfere with the center stand. Nope!

Now that I have things in gear, I find now there's some splitting hairs here, the Staintune is just a tad too small to slip over the 2Bro outlet, it almost slips inside, we're talking 2+mm here, so a conversation with Mr. Valasco is in order. I would have thought the 2Bro outlet would have fit standard exhaust. Nope, something to do wit mm vs fraction sizing here, it's good to know as I wanted the size of the 2 bro exit the same all the way out. Does this mean I'm also making a Staintune replica? Too soon to say.

My two brothers slip-on wouldn't slip over the outlet of the Two Brothers header, but the slip-on piping was the same diameter as the two brothers mid pipe, so they were easily cut and merged together.

Now have it to create a web site for this header Then was looking over domain names, so a quick type in what I was thinking .. ;) shows me when typing in "VFR header" in google. Guess what shows up first... this page.. Nice still looking at this option to give folks that are interested more direct information for either contribution or orders or just seeing whats happening. Stay tune, it's moving forward.

On another note, I was able to find a donor VFR some what local, that will now speed things up a bit.

Yes, 5th gen as well as 6th gen with a O2 bung option. The price hasn't been figured out yet, though I'm working it to be $800 plus shipping. Its going to depend on build time and quantity. I just heard from Gabe tonight in order to get the mandrel bend version. I need a 25 minimum order. From that it's looking like the $800 may be doable. it's just a thing of time is money. But first the proto type needs to be made up, we have the tubes, so it's starting.

For the 6th gen, will the design include a centerstand stop? :smile-new:

Probably, as I see it, the stop is on the mid pipe, that hasn't been figured out just what that detail will be all about, but it's the same deal with the 5th gen, so pretty sure that's not going to be an issue. On a side note, Gabe got a cool project while waiting for tubes, so we'll be kicking this back into gear in a couple weeks. Also wouldn't have the loner VFR until after 4/8. But all is still moving forward, slow, but moving.

Another up date. I have the Viffer apart and got the stock header outa the way, only in the process, &^%@! I find my new Penske shock is wepping (leaking) all over in the adjustment rings, so while the Viffer is a part best have this gone through, So off to Penske the shock goes. In the mean time this gives me time to clean it up, putting the 2Bro back on is going to be a snap. So might as well move on the De link now. Rest assured, once this Viffer is back together we're heading to the Dyno asap. I'm pretty eager to see what comes of this, from that I'll have a good idea just how to work the Gabe header

Where did I say that at? ;)

Could be one of two meanings

    noun
    noun: awe

    1.
a feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear or wonder.

    or

    verb
verb: awe; 3rd person present: awes; past tense: awed; past participle: awed; gerund or present participle: awing

    1.
    inspire with awe

Both may apply with this project. just didn't catch where I said that to answer, but do from time to time use the expression.

Well, above on 3/10: "Art; ;) awe you tried to sneak it out did ya, ;)" You write it quite a bit here and there. Perhaps a piece of board slang I don't know.

Looking forward to see what the 2 Bros. does on Velasco's dyno! When you run it, please don't change anything else...

It would be great to finally put facts behind whether Pipercross are superior filters!

It might be coincidence, but that is the third Penske shock I've heard of leaking in the last 2weeks.
One on another 5th gen and one on a 6th gen here.
