    Haha, Badbilly and Lints!

Also, I have a rule for passengers. Yes...I have ridden around passengers. Lolzzz

They have to be geared up...even if I have to give them my gear to take them.

Over my dead body will I go down and have a passenger injured needlessly where gear could have helped.

Kinda like if you ride with me, you wear a seatbelt. My car, my rules. My moto...

Maybe passenger is okay with no gear, but not me. So if they refuse to wear gear, they don't ride with me.

Not sure if you've considered that, but just something else to think about.

Hard to have a form fitting helmet and gear for every potential passenger, I realize this.

But yeah, like was mentioned, maybe set up a date and discuss gear and at least maybe bring a helmet, gloves, and jacket along.

Who knows...maybe you'll get lucky and she has her own gear and moto!! :)

Or maybe you both don't care about becoming road debris...

With your other thread about being burned I thought this:

I remember a video you did going super fast, maybe even hit 100 mph on THE Florida curve haha, where you had no gloves on...it was NOT just around the corner.

So if you are SOW who has become a bro, don't be a dork. Wear gear so you have important things like hands to throttle a girl around both on and off moto.

If you start dating her the cowl would be the least expensive thing you would have to buy.

Those of that persuasion get started young. You can see them at recess hanging out around the bicycle racks. Many grow up and of course graduate to motorcycle events like Sturgis and Daytona. There is even a website. www.seatsniffers.com. Do not make the mistake of thinking this is just a local problem. It is gaining momentum in other places.

Be very careful where your bikes are parked. There have been thefts of grab handles of late. If you see obvious harleydoods cruising your VFRs, this is where your grab handles might end up.

Good questions CandyRed and I appreciate your advice. I actually ran a poll on this topic a while back and nearly 52% of 8th gen owners have the grab rails installed either with or without the rear seat cowl. Here's a link to the poll if interested: http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthread.php/51826-Is-your-8th-gen-rear-seat-cowl-on-or-off

I usually leave my grab rails on because I assume it would be safer for a passenger to have them available and it's a bit of a PITA to take them on and off. But I usually have the rear seat cowl on also because it allows for more storage and looks better IMO. I also hang my helmet on a grab rail when I use the under seat helmet lock.

If she was hot enough I would not care ! Screw the cowl and put the OEM back permanently! if you are getting these kinds of interest! Another question? Why do you have the grab bars on and the cowl? Now you know grab bars means opportunity and the cowl does not. Only on the track does the cowl make sense and without the grab bars. ;-) Being that you have the covenanted white it will cost you. Question? is she worth it or future opportunities worth putting on the OEM seat?:eagerness:

Haha! Come on Bubba, if she had looked like Bo Derek in her prime do you really think I would have hesitated because of the stupid plastic cowl? :glee: With that said, I do have some fairly good news to report and I need to publicly thank Candy because I followed his excellent advice last night (Saturday - I'm pulling an all-nighter at this point!) and took the "somewhat attractive female" for a nice ride to dinner and her place afterwards. She's far from a perfect 10 but she is only about half my age (still in college!) and in very good shape so I guess you could say this thread has had a happy ending (or two :witless: )

Beer always make them "10's". Don't forget that.

Haha! When I was in college I remember it would sometimes take a mixture of Kool-aid and Everclear to make them "10's". But these days all it takes is a couple of O'Doul's :glee:

Speaking of Everclear I saw them play at Epcot not too long ago:
