Excuse my French but FUCK YES! Always wanted to see a race there. And riding there would be very cool too.

For sure. I actually built 2 4x8' shelves that hang from the truss in the garage and just hang low enough so the garage door misses it when its open.

Tonight I just received my 12volt mini air pump and a converter for a cigarette lighter adapter on the pump to a USB for it and put it to work at 12:00am. Noisy little thing that I am sure that my neighbor above me is happy about. Reason why, I am trying to get the bike to the shop to change out my tires. I did a road side repair with CO2 cartridges and the fix that that I did and it may have gone bad. Being the first time ever in 25+ yrs riding this was my first flat, I made it 30 mile to my home when it went flat at 50mph and did not think that it would go flat. But, it had zero pressure when I got a chance a month later to ride it to the shop in 60 degree weather. Living in a condo with a single car garage space is tight and do not have a air compressor. Plus I wanted to try one of these little pumps for future use. Space on the bike is limited as we all know, but I found space under the seat for this little gadget. Does anyone have experience with these little pumps and how long do they last? just curious. I will also always have CO2 cartridges just in case in the future.

I also have one of those mini compressors. Really useful tool, but also have the backup of 3 co2 bottles.
I KNOW the bottles 'will' inflate my tyre very quickly if I have a flat somewhere that isnt the best for my health ... as the compressor takes a while...

    Continued shed clean up.
Started VFR and let it run for 5 minutes.
    Resisted urge to ride off.

I carry one of those mini compressors in my SUV, very handy. I have helped several people as well. Slow and noisy but works well.

It's not a VFR but I went and bought a Hypermotard 939SP last year and I've started doing another build project.

I have done a few things to it that I have been putting together a chronological build photo folder for when it's almost done. If anybody gives a shit, besides Badbilly, I will do a thread on the project so far.....but for now I have a few pics of some stuff that just arrived today and I'm hoping to get a chance to install pretty soon.

I received all of the black ProBolt ti hardware to replace the rotor bolts, caliper mount bolts, front axle pinch, and the triple clamp pinch bolts. I also got the CNC Racing billet screws for the rear undertail body panels...I've already done the other panels and the new rear hugger and front fender.

I also decided to go with a 520 chain and sprocket conversion to lighten things up a bit. I went with the Superlite billet quick change sprocket carrier in black, with the Superlite cush drive dampers with all ti studs and bi-hex metal ti lock nuts in black. I also raised the gearing just a pinch by going from a 15/45 combo to a 15/43 combo. I went with the tried and true 520 DID ERV3 gold chain. Unfortunately, Pro Bolt backordered one of the ti 10x1.25 bi-hex metal lock nuts for mounting the carrier to the new sprocket flange, so I will be waiting for that to get here....

To complete the setup I went with the CNC Racing billet sprocket flange and Pro Bolt black ti axle nuts.

I'm guessing that this kit will drop approximately 4-5 pounds of weight off the rotating part of the rear wheel and chain assembly, which is always good. I also have a few other things planned that I'm hoping to get ordered over the next month, to month and half, to finish off the chassis part of the build....then it will be engine tuning time.

Nice one to tinker with. I've had a thought that the front end, brakes, forks, triples wheel, assembly, etc, would make for a good one for the VFR.. "IF"

Once you get the TB's out of the way, you are on the home stretch. You should be able to just swing them clear without pulling off too many cables/hoses to get access to the thermostat.

I will concur with Terry on this. I relaced my thermostat not that long ago and once you get to the TBs it's pretty cut and dry. I was able to lift them out and drape them over the side of the bike with all wiring still attached. The one thing I did have a tough time with is that all of the hose clamps on the thermostat hoses were positioned where you could not access the nut from above. I had to get to one of the hose clamp nuts from the side and it was difficult at best to get to that one. The other one that allowed me to pull the thermostat (with hoses attached) was on the left side of the bike attached to the water pump. Once I got the two lose and thermostat removed I reinstalled the hose clamps where I could access them from above the next time. Not sure if this is a factory assembly process or just the way mine was assembled.

I did all that too during my Jan-Feb refurb work. Are you going to replace the fuel filter?

It hit 57 degrees in Salt lake and I was working. I said Fuck it an had someone cover my second half of the shift and took the bike, tires and slip on exhaust to the shop. They start to get to a 2 week turn around in a week or so I went for it. I have to many house projects and they quoted me $150 for both so I said Ok. I gave them the instruction on the pipe and I hope that they take out the inner baffle and don't scratch the stainless mini pipe. I should have shrink wrapped it to try to protect it. DAMNIT. Oh well, hind site is very clear and impulses are for those that are not careful. DAMNIT fingers crossed. I guess the IRS will have to wait for their money since I am giving it to the shop!;-) Now if I can find that damn tidy tail and try that again. I will need a oscillating tool to cut the shit off if I do. :)

Bubba, you going to do a write up on that tail tidy? The rainforests want to know as they can hold back a few acres for you.

So far, not many takers on this latest project that will probably never get finished or ridden. Kudos on sticking with long term bragging rights again. Sucks a few in anyway.

For those who don't wish to wait for every exciting chapter or who have tired of seeing the "cliffhanger" hardware displays, they might want to go to here for their next fix. This guy really does stuff and is doing real numbers instead of stockpiling hardware in his garage.
