Well friends, this trip is gaining momentum in planning.

40 days long and and 325 days too short, but it will have to do.

I have several riders who are joining me or I am joining them for part of the time.

There are spots along the way in which I'm riding alone. But I welcome others to join me along the way if possible!

That is why I'm starting this thread now...so friends can see if it works to join me.

I didn't give friends here much heads up on my recent CA ride over New Year's or on last weekend's CO ride. But I would like to give notice this go around so there is time for someone to plan if they wanna join!

So here is what I have that's still on my own:

May 22 morning to May 24:
Four Corners to Zion to Grand Canyon to Phoenix by night of May 24 or super early May 25

May 31 morning to June 2 or 3:
Leaving LA for Sequoia then into Yosemite and on up to eventually overnight in Seattle area no later than June 3. After getting hugs from Badbilly, I'll head across border with friend.

Around June 22 to June 28:
Calgary to MT to Sawtooth and Yellowstone and into CO to Home.

If you are or will be around those areas at that time and wanna meet, please let me know.

Also, I plan on camping unless offered other accommodations. I'd be VERY appreciative to be able to camp on lawns or couch surf and beg for a hot shower if you be willing. I promise to be a super guest and I would not be around for long or require to be entertained. I be passing out, waking early, and I be there and gone. Not much sit time, especially the last few days home.

But ride with me and you'll get to "visit" with me more by bringing up the rear since you'll let the lady lead. ;) If we have compatible comms, we could even talk. :)

If interested in joining, hosting, or have suggestions for sights and roads, please let me know here or PM me.

This was going to be a solo run, and some parts will be, but I'm extremely excited for those who are hopping aboard muh crazy ideas...especially my Alaska partner!! So if I'm eaten by a grizzly, you can watch me go down with a fight on video my friend is hopefully taking from a safe distance away.

And...if you are going with me already, I'll leave that up to you to disclose here if you want.

Hope I get to meet new VFR faces everywhere I go this summer!!

I'll be riding with you AM. Just a couple thousand miles apart. I hate tailgaters. We will have to see if our paths meet on the way back somewhere. If V and I are around home, you have suite here for you. Covered secure parking too. Just watch for the wild dogs.

I'll probably be passing you going in the opposite direction at the tail end of your trip if my plans work out for this summer.

I'll give you the bikers wave if I see you ...

You know you have several places to stay in the Nor Cal area. You can use my place as a HQ for that trip to Yosemite, and depending on when you go, I may join you.

Ok, so you're going back down to LA area after R3 then? I'll see what I can swing as far as getting time off. I don't think it'll be a problem, but ya never know.

I am about 80 miles north of Phx and plan on going to R3...you are welcome to camp or crash here if that fits your timeline.

Yes, going way south after R3.
    Then back up.

Just talked with RVFR...he said 38 feet if snow in Sequoia and Yosemite. Not sure how much will still be there or what the impact of the runoff will be...how that will affect riding there.

But I WILL be coming back north regardless...leaving LA on the 31st for Calgary.

So I'll be needing to have some tinkering routes up through CA no matter what they end up being. Maybe you find us some fun if you can get the time.

    Awesome!! Thank you!!
I May take you up on that depending on how the days in sightseeing go.

When are you leaving for R3?!!

I plan to cut down to PHX on May 24th after having some time in Zion and Grand Canyon.

Then leave for SoCal morning of the 25th...get there early to do some riding around...invade Lints and Ducmann. Teeheehee

Even if I don't need to stay or we don't ride together, it would be sweet to stop by and meet, maybe get some eats on way to PHX.

If not, I see you at R3!! :)

There was no snow at either spots when I was though there in 2012 R3 but I am pretty sure they did not get the pounding of snow then they did this past winter. The Yosemite Falls will really be something to see regardless.
