Here's the stand in action. With the kit i got with it, there is a pin that fits into the rear hub, similar to the single side swing arm stands, which allows you to tie the rear of the bike down to the lift part of the stand. This method allows for even front to back lifting of the bike. If you tie it to the base of the stand, it allows for the front to raise up "wheelie" style. If you don't use the tie down at all, the the front stays down and the rear lifts up "stoppie" style. I'm really impressed with how fast they got my order processed, shipped and delivered! My initial inquiry regarding the kit and if it would accommodate all three of my bikes, I had an email response right away. So far I'm really happy with it. The only issue I have now is that the width of the bike on the stand is just a little too wide, so I had to get creative when parking all of my vehicles. Let's just say, that the garage door barely closes and misses my front bumper by millimeters!

BTW, here is my front wheel and axle. Laterally the wheel looks good. The dent is the only place the wheel is out of whack. Getting that axle out of the hub was pretty tough, I thought I might have to cut it out, a good drift and hammer did the trick though. Today is the start of the rebuilding process. I'll most likely start as thread, as to not clog this one up with so many pics.

It's amazing how much force your motorcycle exerted on that guardrail, OOTV. Da wheel rim was jammed into da axle, da axle bent and was jammed into da forks, da forks snapped, and da whole ting just kept trying to crawl under da guardrail - too bad da radiators got in da way too. The ABBA looks like an awesome weapon - without a bike on it, it looks like it's lurking there, just waiting to grab something.

Engine whiz George Dean has a turbo CX that looks brand new..George builds (really builds) bike engines. A few of the non-turbo engines were used turned 90 degrees in special frames for American style flat track racing.

With your specific bike fitting kit it's $699.00 with the Pro Kit, it was $200 more. The stand ships directly from the UK and there was no additional taxes or fees. I was originally looking into the Kendon stand up "middle weight" bike lift ($799.95 + shipping ~$75) but every time I went to their website, they were sold out. After looking at the differences, I ultimately chose the ABBA.

The two key features of the ABBA stand that really appealed to me, are that it could easily be rolled around and stored (even with bike lifted), the access to the bike is almost unhindered, vice a stand that a bike sits on top of. Additionally, you can lift the front or rear for even better access. Ultimately the size and mobility were really key features for me. Considering how often I work on my and others bikes, I really think it was worth the cost. Just for the fact that my 5 Gen will be on the stand for a few weeks, if not months, makes it worth while to me. with the bike on the stand, I can actually put the bike underneath the shelf in my garage! This is the biggest saving grace as it's the only way I could fit all my vehicles and gear in my single car garage.

Cozy is one word for it. It's like a game of Tetris getting all my stuff inside the garage. With the tool boxes, tire changer, 3 bikes, a car and a plethora of other stuff, it really is a miracle I can shut the garage door!

I'm heading into the shed right now to do the shims on my 2001 to get it ready for my trip tomorrow morning to WSBK at Phillip Island.
A 2500km round trip through the Snowie Mountains and back country roads with my mates.
Got a free pass from my social controller after working 14 days straight to catch up on all my work.
    Yahooo.

I cleaned up the shed so I would have the space to replace the chain and sprockets.
