Can anyone suggest a reputable online retailer for VFR parts with such niceties like good pricing, quality service and reliable personnel?

    Thanks!

If you mean OEM parts, I can't help much. If you mean aftermarket parts the best people I've found are NewEnough (www.newenough.com) or California Sport Touring (www.casporttouring.com). Don't let the NewEnough name fool you, everything is brand new and their service is first rate.

    Yeah, ebay! No seriously!

I swear by Chaparral Motorsports and Dennis Kirk for most of my needs. Check out your local dealer's website to see if there is a parts fiche on it. I can find the part on the print, order it, and pick it up at the dealer.

Thanks for all the input! The local dealer is great so I was referring more towards aftermarket stuff. I have purchased stuff from California Sport Touring and Chaparral in the past and have always been happy.

    Thanks!

But as long as I am asking, how about for exhaust products or powercommanders? Thanks!

    RonAyers.com or bikebandit.com

I've had good luck with both of these. Happy shopping!

If your talking about new OEM parts - I like www.ronayers.com
hands down the best for me so far. I havent tryed them yet, but I have heard
    servicehonda is excellent too.

Aftermarket? For me the aftermarket has been a crap shoot. Sometimes you get what you expect and sometimes you get crap.

Ebay? For me ebay has been 80/20. 80% the parts/stuff is as advertised and ok. The 20%? Crap and trouble.

----What everybody else's experience? What did you buy? Who did you buy it from? Good Service? Would you do it again?

    Carl-

Check out University Motors, located in ND. (yahoo/google search them)
Ask for Mike Kolstad (last name I think)
A friendly gentleman that rides in an FJ club put me on to them last year...
They beat EVERYONES price HANDS DOWN by at least $25-$50 on every part.

I put all new plastic on my 93 Viffer and saved over $750 total.

They dont have an interactive webpage for parts, but either call him or email him and Mike will try and give you the best he can.
(Reasonably quick through email too, usually less than 1 business day reply)

    Hope this helps.
    Steve

Thats funny...if you noticed my thread you'd see my example was on plastics.

REVISED: They gave me a better deal than anyone one BIGGER PURCHASES

Sorry for the confusion...some of us seem to have a sarcastic/ condesending side...

I've had GREAT luck with www.mrcycles.com They are in Asheville, NC. They will ship parts anywhere and have a good website to find the parts you want.

    for example.... ahem....

Well I would hope that in the future you would edit your post like the experienced forum participants do instead of adding another comment about sarcastic / condescending forum participation.

(Pearl... did you score me for sarcastic AND condescending? or just one?)

Hey, I put the smiley face in there to denote a joking manner.

But, if you want to get cranky, yes the example was plastic. But preceding that was the comment that they beat everyone, on every part.
