I couldn't afford a an RC45 so I got an NC35 instead. First time it touched the track at Laguna Seca I drug knees all day, and out braked everyone in turn one after they passed me on the straight.

But since we are talking dreams, I'll take a G-Force NC450- once they get EFI sorted, because 93 hp isn't enough....

And I want to at least keep up with the liter bikes in the straights...

The Nortan V4 ss and rr actually both have carbon fiber fairings. I really don't like the chrome paint on the ss, but apparently the only way to get the natural carbon look is to up for the rr model.
You are right about the frame and covers etc though, if they arent clear coated, youre definitely going to want a few cans of polish lol.

Just guessing.. It looks like the bike will come in the customers choice of livery. The bike shown in motion on the Isle of Man circuit looked to me as if it had an aluminum fairing rather than painted carbon fibre. Same deal with the gas tank (s).

We both may have to wait until somebody here pops for one. ;)

I hope the guys who are investing all those pesos don't have the problems that cropped up when the "Norton" rotary bikes were cleaning house.

Norton V4 RR & SS highlights
    All-new Norton V4 British-built engine
    All-carbon fibre bodywork
    Carbon fibre fuel tank
    Carbon fibre wheels (SS)
    TT developed chassis
    7" high-def dash with rear-view camera
    Full electronics package

    Radical liquid retention

There has been a glut of new bikes revealed over recent weeks using carbon fibre in ever-increasing applications, but the new Norton V4 is the only one to use a carbon fibre fuel tank. The tank, built by carbon gurus BST in South Africa, is of full carbon construction, then reinforced with kevlar for impact resistance, and finally chemically lined to make it safe for holding petrol.

    Dressed to thrill

Both the RR and SS boast carbon fibre bodywork, with the fender, main fairings, nose section and tail unit all being created in carbon. The SS is presented in a beautiful plain carbon finish, while the RR is painted as a TT replica, using a special silver-impregnated paint which is incredibly difficult to work with . The finished effect looks like chrome.

Man that bike is awesome. Not a chrome guy but that is beautiful. The single side swing arm and wheels too.

If anything could be changed maybe the rear facing video cam for a really great set of mirrors and a rear facing paintball gun with loads that look like bug shit. I have a tailgate thing going..

My dream bike would be to find a mint 2002 GSXR 1000. I had one and regret selling it.

Had my GSXR's parked in the house at one time. 1998 GSXR 750 and 2002 GSXR 1000.

I ride a Ducati 748 (soon with an 853 kit), a 2004 VFR, and a R1200RS. I want a supermotard. That would be 4. Am I nutz? My wife says I am, but what the hell does she know . . .

I see that plenty of you guys ride even MORE than four!

This exact same question has appeared on several HD forums. The consensus seems to be the minimum number of Harleys in order to keep one running is four to five.

I've too have been looking into getting a touring bike (while still keeping the VFR). This past summer I went on a half dozen 1-3 day trips. The VFR800 doesn't have enough leg room, high enough handle bars, or enough wind protection for me for longer trips.

I want to be able to ride 6-8 hours comfortably. I can do 6-8 hours on the VFR but I'm a bit sore :(

I've been looking into all the big V-twins as well as BMW K1600. I'll probably wait a year or two to save up more money. I'm also hoping Honda will refresh the Goldwing in that time...

I'm gonna try renting a some of those touring bikes this summer for longer trips to see how I like it.

Look what I bought! It is an 07 Honda 919 with less than 16000 miles. Except for some, fall over rash, it is in excellent condition. My old riding buddy Dave is married with two kids and no money and no bike. I bought this one as a fixer upper. I told him that he could make payments and I would hold the bike in lay-way deal until he had it paid off. I gave $1800 for it.

It was an impound deal. It has a 2015 tag but the bike was impounded in 2016. I am pretty sure it was one of those deals where the first owner went down on it and sold it to clown #2 who never did the title work. Clown #2 rode it until he too threw it down (it is scratched on both sides) and it got impounded by the police. Subsequent contacts to the registered owner turned up nothing so the bike was listed as abandoned and the towing company got the title.

I put the battery on the charger and it came up to full charge. I checked it over this morning and took it down the road. This thing is a beast! They had just re-rocked my road and it is was a lot like riding on marbles with way too much power. Not fun. The bike needs chain and sprockets and a probably battery. In needs two mirrors to pass inspection. It also needs a good going over with a change of fluids and a brake pad check.

The Honda 919 is an awesome do everything Swiss Army Knife of a bike but they are kind of lack luster and vanilla. Maybe it’s the colors Honda painted them. This one is in the smoked red and I really never liked that too much. I think they look good in that charcoal flat gray or just black. The bike feels really powerful but kind of heavy.

Nice, Big Jim! I love the 919. Clean title, right?

So many motorcycles, so little time . . .
