Day 3 testing Sepang

Maverick is going to be a real top competitor on the M1 by the looks of it. On top day 3. Top 10 guys seperated only by 4 tenths. On a track with a lap of nearly 2 minutes. That's insane.

Definitely going to throw a wrench into VR's #10 championship goal. I wouldn't be surprised if MV takes the title this year.

It's only practice / tuning rounds guys .... no doubt MV will be a top competitor, but don't judge based on tuning / practice rounds.

 

This is not based on the practice times, more on how well MV is getting along with the bike. Looks like he is fitting in quite well. JL is just getting his "Sea Legs" but imagine he'll be doing well come race time.

 

Of coarse we know its testing but you can really get an idea where teams and riders are at in a big 3 day test like Sepang.

 

I'm still betting on MM93 if he keeps his "daredevil" in check again this season .... he went rogue again the last few races after he clinched the title.

 

Just for giggles, Dovi qualified on pole at Sepang last year at 2:11.485 and MV's WUP lap was 2:01.146. Compare both to their practice lap times on Day 3, 1:59.553 and 1:59.368 respectively. So not too bad for practice times!

 

Not to bad is an understatement! lol

 

That pole number had to be in the wet........

 

Just checked.....it was. In 2015 Dani Pedrosa qualified on pole with a 1:59:053, in the dry.

 

Or they were running Shinko rubber. lol
