All of Apple's iPod & iTune ads in one collection. Like a time lapse and cross section of musical and dance styles.

You guys and a few gals crack me up. Guess I'm the weird one that doesn't listen to music X hours out of a day. could really care less personally. I listen to the world around me. Whats funny is my son spends a lot of time on his smart device listening / watching you tube BS, guess its his entertainment IDK seems silly, what ever. Still I don't on the norm listen to anything on the road, I'm more in tune to my surroundings. I like good ole music here and there, just not much out there IMO to go to the trouble with . Am I odd ? ;) I know I am, and the beat goes on................

I just finished watching "Sully", which is a good movie directed by Clint Eastwood about Flight 1549 that landed on the Hudson on January 15, 2009.
The reason I am posting this is, I was there that day!
On Jan 15, 2009, I flew from Rochester NY to La Guardia to connect to a flight to Washington National (now Reagan). I had a business meeting in Alexandria VA the next day.
I took off from La Guardia on an Airbus 320 (same), on runway 4 (same), and followed the same flight path 1549 was suppose to. I was sitting in the back, and there was a group of USAIR flight attendants sitting across from me. They were very laughing and having a good time. When we landed, they all pulled out their cell phones as soon as we hit the runway. The girl across from me face turned white when she got 15 messages from her mother wondering if she was OK. One of them said that they had just had a crash, but didn't have any details. I opened a news app on my iPhone and found the famous picture above, I showed the picture to the girl and said "Is this your plane?" After seeing and reading everyone made it, they were much relieved. Flew the same route home they next day, no problems. Been on the Hudson many times in our boat, can be very rough at times. They were very lucky.

I remember when we took off for the return flight to Rochester as we turned left over the river, I looked down and it looked awfully small.

So, I'm a HUGE Blues guy... I posted Sam Fish on here like 2 years ago, she's the real deal. I think Smokin Joe Bonamassa is like the baddest modern blues guy, but this kid is likely the future... His voice just needs to catch up to his playing...

Not really, I can drive for hundreds of miles and never turn on a tune, never listen to music when riding, the only time I will listen to music at any length is on airplanes....because it drowns out the noise of the rest of the passengers. Quiet = thought.

Same here. Music can be distracting when riding or driving.

Just saw one of the locals get busted for not pulling over for an emergency vehicle. One of those rigs cobbled together from a beater pickup with 5K worth of jacked up suspension and a sound system that made the Bondo fall off the bodywork.

I love the blues too. Going to see Tab Benoit tomorrow. Not well know nationally but the south knows him well. Good old Cajun boy, been around a long time.

Right now I am listening to the dude from Bikers For Trump who mostly wants to sell Tshirts to harleydoods and be HMFIC of the donald's biker enforcement crew. Dude is claiming there are 200,000 his 'bros" who will form a wall of meat preventing anybody from exercising their First Amendment rights.

A shitload of them will be packing. The question now is will all 200K go home?

Very occasionally I like to listen to the Blues, heard this song " Last Kind Word Blues " by singer Geeshie Wiley from 1930 on a radio show talking about important influences on modern music, have to agree on it being one of the most amazing songs I've never heard before from that era.

Been listening to some U2 tunes tonight - thinking of getting tix to the 30th Anniv. Joshua Tree tour for Tampa this summer: http://www.u2.com/tour
I saw them on the Joshua Tree tour 30 years ago in Tampa (at the old "Sombrero" Bucs stadium) and it was the CRAPPIEST sounding concert I've ever been to because of the football stadium acoustics. But when I saw them at what was then called the World Music Theater near Chicago on the ZooTV tour it was one of the BEST shows I've ever attended. This upcoming show in Tampa will be at another, albeit newer, football stadium so I fear it will suck just like it did 30 years ago - LOL. Edit: Crap - it looks like 13 of their 19 N. American shows are already sold out including Miami so I guess I'll buy the damn Tampa tix while I still can :glee:
