It is indeed. He also makes movies "House of 1000 Corpses" and the sequel, "The Devil's Rejects"

Cover songs are usually hit or miss. There are less than a handful for me that live up to or even exceed the original in some way. The Cure's version of Purple Haze is phenomenal, at least to me, I like it better than the original! :jaw: I'm sure there are the Jimi fans that would disagree and call that sacrilegious!

And of course there's this controversial cover by DEVO...Some say it ruined the song for them and others say it was such a unique version that it holds its own against the original.

Saw Devo playing about 3 years ago, could not believe how good they still sound.

If ya like electro-swing, this is where the riffs came from:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3OZFEzGCD0&list=PLEpd8BvqqZdzDBrsN26psCZQOmU7I56WH&index=45

All this just before swing was really in vogue. Swing according to some was formerly introduced by Benny Goodman in 1935. The site above is mostly featuring Bix Beiderbecke in the mid to late 1920s with The Wolverines, Frankie Trumabauer and Paul Whiteman.

All this before a bunch of young boys decided they didn't like trumpet playing bands worth a damn..;)

The swing era was about 1935 to 1945. Lots of variations on swing dancing from Jitterbug to "The Balboa".

The chica in the short dress doing the tap routine with Fred Astaire is Rita Hayworth.

Both those covers will get you death threats from Paul Allen and Keith Richard sitting on your face.

I'm sure of that! I still stand by my opinion! I've met Paul Allen, I think I can take him, his lawyers, not so much. Keith on the other hand, I don't think he's human so I'm afraid of him!

Being a teen of the 80's, I'm a fan of 80's music in general, but I've always had a thing for Depeche Mode. I could listen to Violator and Music for the Masses every day for the rest of my life, and never get tired of them...
