Wow thanks for the trip down memory lane. Listened to him back in the day when all my buddies were falconers.
    Remember my story JEN?
Kind of sad his plane had experimental on it.

An amazing talent - I saw him play at Disney in '96 and I was sick to my stomach when he died less than a year later. I like to throw on his greatest hits when I'm feeling melancholy like I do now. My fave JDenver song:

WOW, forgot what a phenomenal voice he had.
Funny how songs bring back memories from the past that I've not thought of in decades---- long hair, dirt bikes, backpacking, water skiing and smoking lots of pot
    Thanks

Wow, JD brings back some memories...Singing along with Rocky Mountain High, with my dad, when I was a teen....while driving in the Rocky Mountains on a perfect sunny day. Still brings a tear when I hear it, especially since this past February... :sorrow:

But on a less downer note...if you're into blues, I recently learned of this little gem and immediately lost a quick 3 hours on youtube watching some of her live songs from the last 4 years....

Why was John Denver's plane crash such a terrible tragedy? Because Barry Manilow wasn't with him :glee:

My 2nd most fave JDenver song:

Very sorry about your loss DD. I lost my Mom recently as well and like you there are certain songs that bring back fond memories of hearing her sing in the car when I was young. My Dad was a workaholic and my brothers were much older so it was oftentimes just me and her going places together. I miss her terribly. She was also a big fan of JD - I went with her to his concert in '96.

So, as far as what I listen to while I'm riding (a must for every moment on 2 wheels), it's a whole different flavor...almost exclusively electronic and upbeat...dance, trance, techno and of course, electro-swing. Wondering what the hell that is?

Wow this last year that's three loved ones gone from our loving arms, lost my Mom to alzheimer's .
Music is my go to place for all situations in life, always has been--- think the older you get you learn to love the blues because you've lived it.
Especially riding one of your favorite roads with music is heaven.

Hmmm...that electro-swing is pretty interesting - and that Caravan Palace vid was wild :beguiled:

Heard this old classic on my way home earlier tonight - had to watch the vid when I got home:
