After I hit a big vulture with my left mirror and it broke off, I too bought the Black EMGO version of the OEM replacement. With regards to the dimensions, it looks identical to the original. Mounted the mirror using the same bolts. The finish on the EMGO mirror is a tiny bit more flat black than the original mirror. Seems like the original has a little bit of satin finish to it. Maybe I can polish the EMGO mirror a little to match exactly. The plastic back of the EMGO mirror is a little textured and my original mirror is a little more smooth on the back. All in all I'm happy with the EMGO replacement. The differences are very very subtle. Hope this helps!

Not so much after market, as they are OEM F4i CBR 600 mirrors. I prefer the angle placement, just is. The trick for the money was waiting for the right ones on Ebay. ;)

F4i 600 on left, compared to 00-01 oem on right.

Is the effect the same if the mirrors are swapped?

Maybe, if you don't count things could be upside down or reverse.

You're probably right. Some here may be using their mirrors to fix their hair, lipstick or just admiring themselves.

Getting wrapped around an OEM stock look on a bike can be costly especially when some (not all) of the aftermarket parts and farkles are better pricewise and in functionality. Added to this is fitment of, in this case, OEM mirrors from another Honda as pointed out and shown by RVFR. Those look to me like the way to go since they look like they fold up if ya go down or some asshole who can't walk or chew gum at the same time bumps the bike.

If one mirror is busted and the other is OK then fine, pop for a new OEM from Honda. If a cosmetic change is wanted then go for the mirrors shown by RVFR that are OEM. If the OEM muse does not speak then ya got the handy dandy "for sale" stuff here or Ebay or who knows how many outfits that make mirrors that will fit any number of bikes.
