It resembled a pet the way it followed the person around. Wonder what the vision is...

Go to the next entry down to see the full presentation. Ten pesos says the Honda dude doing all the talking was at some time a car salesman..

A bunch of this tech is spinoff from aerospace and aircraft technology.

Great stuff! The PR will shift about the first time some movie star buys the farm "riding" or "driving" one of these vehicles.

I wonder what the 0-60 time for the bike is? I figure aboot 25 minutes.

Maybe mount an IPad and watch a movie while on a long ride! Would make those long straight road sections (hate those) go by faster.:eagerness:

I'll say just what I said when I posted the same link to my twitters yesterday -- I want my VFR to follow me around like a puppydog. That would be SO awesomesausage.

I wonder if it will stand on the back tire and beg for gasoline (or a charge), or honk when there is an intruder? lol

Based on your thread title, one could say that a person who drives a car with powering steering, ABS, traction control, and ESA, is afraid of cars. Same could be said for anyone with a bike with suspension, ABS, TC, ESA, etc. Just saying, advancements in technology has been around since captain caveman (Cavey) started building tools and utensils to make like easier. Honda has the skills, they just decide to display it in different, and many times frustrating, ways instead of giving us kick ass bikes that are at the top of their class. I really wish Honda would wake up one day....I really do, but I have little optimism for that.

Hmm, does that mean the Europeans are also making bikes for people afraid of riding? I mean they offer ABS, Adaptive suspension, multi-level launch control, throttle control, gyros for mid corner braking, hill hold for starting from an uphill stop, wheelie or lack of wheelie control, etc. What's the diff? It means a cack-handed person can ride a 175 hp superbike without turning himself into hamburger.

I have not heard of "Hill Hold" for bikes, but it would not surprise me if BMW offers it. Car manufacturers have had hill hold for many years now. Would be useful on city streets with steep inclines, for a manual transmission I mean.
