Debbie Reynolds just passed away too, unreal. I have heard of many older couples where one passes soon after the first, but mother/daughter bond must have had the same effect.

Sorry but not sorry guys, this is going to sound really cold, but while it's tragic when anyone passes away ... I'll never get how so many people can raise a stink like social media has whipped up for these celebrities passing.

We didn't really KNOW these people in life. We saw their work and it will live on forever in media.

They are people, no different than you or I and they put their clothes on the same way we do ... we all return to dust.

Although I can agree with you but sometimes these "celebrities" (I hate that term by the way) touch people's emotions and people make a connection with them and they feel they lost someone or something close to their heart. I'm sure people close to you will feel the same way as some do about celebrities. Not sure how many songs you've written or movies you stared in that people have connected with but I'm sure you'll be missed none the less, I know that I'd feel a loss if you weren't around anymore as you have contributed to this forum and in a sense to my life to some degree as this forum is a big part of my life right now.

Awww, thanks OOTV. That means a lot to me. I would be sad and feel a loss if something happened to one of you all as well.

No doubt that there's a connection to these people through their work. Sometimes, I just feel that our reaction to their passing is a bit over done ... but I suppose that's partly because of social media and you see so much information coming from so many different sources at once.

I think we should pour trillions of dollars into solving this obviously critical problem of celebrity mortality. Anyone can see (from the reactions of the American Public) that this issue desperately needs to be addressed. We should not stop until all celebrities (including anyone who is at least B-list or higher) are rendered immortal.

This is something that rises to the level of "national mandate" the same as Kennedy's speechification about the NASA mission to place American astronauts on the moon before the decade of the '60s was over (I, for one, will never forget the pride I felt when an American first pooped his pants in space and on the moon).

I also think the main stream media over does it a lot as well. What ticks me off is when they start playing them up as saints, even though their life was not full of good deeds! I think Saturday Night Live did the one of the best satires of how media over plays celebrity deaths when they did they did the Buckweat gets shot skit.

Morris met his maker in the style of the superhero fish he was. He started fade a little after floating around in his bowl for a couple of days. Morris liked his privacy. We tried some bleach on him but alas, the golden boy of fish just went from kind of a deep brown to a washed out tan.

Adios Morris, you will forever live in our hearts and minds in that great fishbowl in the sky.
