Locking the rear "fairly easily" is not what you want, is it? It'd be better to have a weak rear brake than a swerving rear skid brake...

    Ciao,

I mean you have to put a good amount of weight on it. I am just using that as my only basis for braking power, as it was impossible to lock the rear when linked and when only using two pistons, but once all three were tied together, it entered the good enough realm.

I'm still running the stocker 5th with the 3 pistons with a 14mm master. I guess over time I have become accustomed to how much braking I need and when, and it seems fine. Also - I seem to remember in the calculations - a 5/8 master would be ok too...

    - Just a data point for everbody....

    Beers for all....

Well Mike, since no one is biting at your offer of your spare gen 5 rear caliper, I'd like to volunteer to pay for shipping and use it for my drilled delink. I'll pm you with info.

If I was shopping for a caliper, I'd aim for a gen 6 based on the awesome chart JZH posted (reposted), but your generous offer puts a caliper in hand at minimal cost - cool. The chart shows the difference between gen 5 rear caliper w 14mm master (8.97 ratio) and a gen 6 caliper w 14mm (9.88) at approx 10% difference in net brake power/leverage. Thanks again!

Cool - I replied to your post. Slowly getting rid of these parts. I had sold the stock forks a while back Advertised all the calipers also, but never got any takers. Glad to see this rear caliper will sent to a good home.

    Merry Christmas

Lance - sorry, but had not heard back from you since 12/24. Someone else took me up on the offer.
