Why don't you state your quarter mile trap speed instead of all this squid bs?

So you're right in there with Mohawk?

128 mph is just a bit past 4th into 5th gear

LIST items and what you've only spent just on engine gains

    Engine Performances

    Itemized List w/Cost

    1) Euro ECU G $150-
    2) PC 3 $300-
    3) Pipercross $60-
    4) Black Widow $550-
    5) Staintune High Level $550-
    6) o2 Eliminator $20-
    7) AirBox Second Snorkel $30-
    8) DynoJet Custom Fuel Map $300-

Like about $1930- or say $2000- for 20 whp

    That's $100 per whp

But that my high side estimate because right here is a Dyno with just about my step and it's bringing in 119 whp

    http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthread.php/7840-Anyone-with-Dyno-results-on-a-VRF800

So that means I migh be 110 whp or 10 whp gain

    That's $200 per whp gain !

Next I just load a GPS Speed Tracker app on my iPhone, I thinking max speed is going validate max whp and the basis is 120 whp gets you 160 mph, give or take a few mph.

So I'm also going to be cross-checking my max speed runs with GPS technology (also to determine speedometer error)

This link validates I will have at least 110 whp with just
    PC3 and Staintunes

What's going to be interesting is to find out about how much more

If you've got 110 whp we are starting with the same but my mini mods might prove more whp

Correct removed all restrictions, increased air inlet, added a power increasing fuel mapping and plug it in a Euro ECU, you can tell from the video it has over 110 whp, DynoJet will show the numbers and you'll be enlightened very well

What about if I buy this bike my shifting would improve and you'd be a dot in the mirror?

It's possible I might have found a DynoJet tuner that will setup a Saturday session.

I often wonder if Honda wver ended up producing a higher output V-4 would it be similar to the Aprilla RSV4 RR or RF with a claimed 201 hp

The only problem with an Aprilla is you would never get the long term
mileage and the cost of ownership is about 3-4 times as much as a 5th Gen VFR

I often wonder if Honda ever ended up producing a higher output V-4 would it be similar to the Aprilla RSV4 RR or RF with a claimed 201 hp

The only problem with an Aprilla is you would never get the long term
mileage and the initial cost of ownership is about 3-4 times or more as much as a 5th Gen VFR. The next question is the residual value, worth and usability.

A realatively low mileage 5th Gen VFR can be purchased for the KBB value of $3000

In my case I replaced the headers and exhaust with all stainless for about $1100 and I added a Power Commander lll for $300 and a Euro ECU G (Germany) for $150.- and aftermarket filter.

With a $3000 purchase product price and $2000 spent on the engine that's already $5000

So now with $2000 over KBB it's going to be about putting as many miles as possible on the 5th Gen and never approach it from a resale value point of view, it's more about long term usability, something you won't see in any hyper-bikes.

At the $5000 spending point the 5th Gen VFR with 14k on the clock still has another 50k miles available , that's the reason for the all stainless full system, the target is to try and own a performance sport bike at the cost of 10 cents a mile. If you look at what people buy and sell bikes for based on the mileage you'll problsbly coje up with about $1.00 per mile is what it basically cost as a median figure. But be careful about talking cost, some people just don't want to know.

You can put a monkey on a $20,000 race replica, but I still wouldn't expect him to be able to shift any better than a monkey on a bike.

Motorcycling is an individual to individual enjoyment, this would include the operation of the motorcycle, shifting is an individual pursuit, why would you be concerned about how another individual shifts their bike ? What's your say in this matter?
