True statement if you add "...indentical pipe sections up to the collector section where the 5th Gen is ultimately a 4 into 1 with a single exhaust canister and the 6th Gen ultimately is a 4 into 2 with double exhaust canisters." But that's fine, I understand what you were "trying" to communicate

The PMBOK definition of "quality" is "meeting or exceeding requirements", the Black Widow are a"true equlivilent OEM" product in 304 Stainless Steel, so there would not be any spring-tensioned connections for a variety of reasons:
    1) Not OEM design specified
    2) Additional loose small parts
    3) Reduced longetivity of life cycle

5th and 6th gens have fully compatible header layouts
5th and 6th gen slip-ons obviously differ in the underseat vs side mount lay out.
There is no need to design separate components, "have the ability to interchange the sections of the header piping between 5th and 6th gen VFR's "
I guess you have no argument on Akrapovic's use of multiple spring loaded slip joints lol.

Are these "simple facts" documented anywhere? Because I couldn't find any such claims on their website. All they say is, "Our Research & Development Team are based in the UK", which pretty much confirms that everything else is done in China or somewhere else overseas. That said, they do look pretty and I don't think BW exhausts are any worse than any of the other stainless steel "OEM replacement" exhausts out there (Delkevic, Motad, Predator), and I see that the company's current models seem to have been much improved since their early SBS days (with their atrocious build quality). If the price is right, I would consider BW headers. However, I have an Erion full system on one of my 5th gens and I have a Predator/Motad for my other 5th gen, so I'm good...

I have no idea why you keep going on about your '98/'99 German ECU. The only thing we know for sure about it is that the bikes it was fitted to were down about 8hp, compared with all of the others sold at that time. Why would you expect that an ECU originally fitted to a low-power bike would result in higher power when fitted to a bike which was already making more power with its OEM ECU? What's the logic? Anyway, I went through most of the different performance-related parts used on German/Euro and US bikes in one of my posts on the (now closed) VFRD thread, so anyone who wants to see the part numbers for themselves can do so there.

I don't think you're a troll, but I do think you do not understand how other people actually perceive what you write. It's a problem.

Btw, my yeller one is shown below. If I ever get back to it, I will fit the USD forks/SP1 wheel, (then all I'll need is a low-power German ECU)...

    It's basically "mechanical spring tensioned orthodontic's versus a 360 degree full penetration hot-welding" it's a no-brainer which is better

Yep, we know the answer and so does the whole motorcycling world...

Akrapovič (Slovene pronunciation: [aˈkrapovitʃ]) is a Slovenian manufacturer of exhaust systems primarily for motorcycles, but more recently also for automobiles. A global exhaust supplier in motorcycle sport, Akrapovič exhausts are used on motorcycles in Moto GP, superbike, supersport, supermoto, motocross, enduro and rally raid. As of May 2010, Akrapovič systems have been used in a total of 38 world championships all across motorsport.

Hmmm, I wonder how many motorcycling manufacturers use Black Widow exhaust, or even just race teams for that matter???

You guys just need to be more patient. Norcalboy will chimp in with his titanium headers that are extruded in one piece. So what if they cost as much as a new Ferrari. They are a hit at bike nights.

This thread is such an utter waste of time. Catboy is absolutely clueless and couldn't take a hint of it was stapled to his forehead. I endeavor to meme it to death.

Though Norcal is full of some good engine tech information, when he is in a good mood, he never put much thought into the VFR header. He just slapped on a Motad and called it a day. Maybe if he had tracked down an Erion or Two Brothers header, we would have actually gotten to see the dyno sheet lol.
