Well, he's not giving it away for sure but in that great condition, someone will step up and pay that, eventually. Bike is too nice.

If Barret Jackson starts auctioning older bikes, their value will sky rocket the same way cars have since he started his televised auctions. A shame really. Now it is the very rich who can afford to buy nicely restored cars and probably soon to be bikes.

    Man, that RC45 is mouth-watering.

I'd swear that one eBay'd here earlier this year for more than the estimate on the Bonhams bike, but it may have been the RC30. Could not find it, anyway.

There's a guy hawking just the buttrest on eBay for $2500 (without success, it appears, through multiple re-lists)

A VF is OK if you want to ride an older, lower-tech antique. Any VFR is a big improvement, so wise up, bunky. For what a VFR can do, the prices are way too low. :congratulatory:

I'm staking my retirement income and all my bets that my '86 RWB 700s will escalate in value enough to pay for several years of future nursing home care after i'm too decrepit to ride them and a daily 6-pack of Belgian beer too. :drinker: :playful:

I have both. The VF is no antique.

So what things are BETTER about any VF vs. any VFR, except for price and the Comstar wheels ?

First of all, i consider your opinion far from humble and very well-informed.

Sorry, but i was only comparing gen 1 to gen 2. I should have been less ambiguous.

Me, i still can't fully understand why anyone would really want the dubious FI feature. Old school, man !
