Of course! Hogan's Heroes was silly but looking back on it it was masterfully done.

On Donald Sutherland cast in Kelly's Heroes, I saw an interview with Allen Alda who played Hawkeye on TVs M.A.S.H.. Donald Sutherland had played the part in the film but turned down the TV part since he was going to make Kelly's Heroes. Alda said he was in a hotel, got onto an elevator with Donald Sutherland. All he said to Sutherland was "thank you!"

As with all of the other friendly-fire and troop deaths, it is unfortunate and very sad it ever happened. That is a given, however, do not confuse the lack of compassion of all of American people as apathy. It is not our fault that we are fed a stream of shitty/biased news that chose minimal or total lack of coverage for this particular incident. You would be better to blame it on the governments of the world and their need for constantly involving us in never-ending, pointless wars and conflicts. I could name a dozen friendly fire incidents of Americans or other servicemen in the middle east that most of the world never heard of, or more likely, they are numb to because of the said never-ending conflicts/wars. Some people grow numb when they see repeated deaths on the news 24/7, or they just dislike war in its entirety and try to disassociate themselves from it and bury themselves in their Pinterest app. I am not saying you are wrong to be mad over this, that is your prerogative.....I am just saying to step back a few more steps to get the whole picture in focus.

That said, God bless our troops, yours, and all of the others that fight for freedom (or so they are told by the country that they love) in this crazy world. They frequently die and are all but forgotten by their country and governments that they so patriotically defended/fought for till the end.

    Have a good day lad....

Canada had a friendly fire at the hands of an American pilot several years ago in Afghanistan where I think there were five Canadian soldiers killed from an air strike while they were conducting night time exercises that were known. I have heard the recordings and the pilot made a serious error in judgement. But this was investigated to the furthers extent by the US Military and though I am saddened at the loss of Canadian Military life, I am very satisfied that the powers to be in the USA did all they could do at the end of their investigation. It is not the American Military Machine that is at fault here. There maybe individuals who err and I believe they are dealt with in a proper manner.

Canada has also been flying sorties over there in Afghanistan Serra and no doubt other countries under the coalition. I would be surprised if some of their strikes did not take some innocent lives. Does this happen at the hands of the American pilots more often than others? I suppose it does. They fly many time more sorties than most if not all the rest of the coalition forces over there. Their numbers are bound to be higher. Friendly fire incidents happen. Regrettably, but they happen.

If we go by the blue on blue report supplied, we could say that the report was biased because it was generated by " the media"

If we are to believe that the report is accurate, one of the hinge points was that the vehicles bore orange coloring to signify they were friendlies. If anyone thinks that this is not common knowledge among the bad guys then again we have too many fucking experts, spreading very thick layers of bullshit from several quarters.

The most understanding of this event will come from those who have served. The rest IMO is more speculation than fact provided by those same fucking experts.

Perhaps you could define an expert?
Though your style to date does seem to indicate your sig. is not in jest.
But hey, if you want to shout people down because they are not "experts", well if it works for you, stick with it.
Though I think you will find the majority of posts on any given thread are not by experts, so you may get a bit hoarse.

I think he is referring to the assumption that some of those who have commented were never a member of the armed forces, in any capacity. He has stated he served twice I believe.

Yep, I have never served in any capacity. I did, however, "inhale" on quite a few occasions.

Thanks for the advice. I will save your response, adding to the file I'm compiling to be used on a recently acquired app that allows printing on TP.

The Troll appellation is not of my doing. Shouting? Perhaps a few words in caps on occasion as emphasis or caps used in acronyms is confusing.

I would never shout you down. Non experts in generalities are hard to find these days.

So did you serve in the military? A yes or no will do. Any diversion or begging the question will shoot your credibility in the ass.

    Lol, really?
There you go again, trying to shout others down.
I do not need credibility from a cyber bully.
No, I have not served in the military.

Tell me, have you ever offered an opinion on a forum in a subject you were not an expert on?
A yes or no will do. Any diversion or begging the question will shoot your credibility in the ass.

The old Acapulco Gold standard again!

Most choices of hookers and blow starts with blow first, hookers second.
