I have a few pictures to add, but if really like it if those that go to the shows could add to this thread, as it's just started to make it easy around the country. I also got to meet Erik Buell in person. That was kind of cool.

There were so many things I could have taken pictures of, but it was my first year there as a spectator, rather than representing a dealer. Good times.

Rode down part way in the rain, all the way back (60 miles each way) in the rain. Frogg Toggs from Walmart, $19.95 for a hooded jacket and pants kept me dry, except my feet and gloves. I literally was winging water out of my socks when I got home. My gloves are still a bit damp. I didn't wear my waterproof pair... (They're actually cold weather gloves, but my hand would have registered dry, but hot).

Plushie little guy is the GEICO gecko they were handing out along with a cool bandana and a nice big city for your visor if you signed up for a quote. Since I used to be an auto and bike multi line insurance broker, I thought I'd compare what I have now.

Add your pictures and experiences to this thread, please.

    Pix,

I felt a bit remiss that I never met up with OOTV while there after I had reached out to him the day before the show. I went with two other friends and just never split up to go meet up with Darryl. Had I known that you were going to be there I would have brought my iPad in to tempt you with pictures (older pics) of the garage queen. Lol!
So it was $13 with discount to get in, $10 to park, 2 cocktails @ $13 each, and a $12 food truck lunch. My big find find for the trip? A t-shirt that reads, "Motorcycles and Internet Porn, that's all I need!" :hss: Lol! I did try a few helmets on, sadly no one had the Hjc Is-Max in a small that I was hoping to check out. Also sat on a few bikes just for grins. I really really like my 2012 Pikes Peak Multistrada, but I rode it a few blocks the other day with out my ear plugs in(big mistake) and God is it an incredibly loud motorcycle! Almost embarrassing. If I do sell the Interceptor, the thing that I'll miss most will be that wonderful exhaust/engine sound, and it's good looks. What about the Multistrada won me over? 88 ft. pounds of torque! and 150 horsepower, upright seating( it's a couch on steroids!) electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension, and panniers that attach without any frame work required.

Good on ya for meeting Eric Buell, he's a genius. And if I didn't care for Harley Davidson before, I really don't like them now for what they did in their dealings with Buell. Just a damn shame IMO!

I was there on Sunday, which day were you there? I talked with Eric about HD and each year he approaches them about releasing his name. Nothing yet. I don't know why the bastards are holding it still. He also said that HD jacked the Buell parts prices ten fold.

I rode down, so parking was free. $9.00 for a burrito that was mostly tortilla. :-(

I've ridden the Multi and the S1000XR. I think I like the BMW better. Just a feel thing. I for some reason feel instantly comfortable on them, like I've already owned them for a while, even the very first ride. I don't know why. I shoulda got more pix.

When I get a chance, I'll post up some of the pics I took. My main computer quit on me so I need to try and get that back up and running before my next project. I've also been busy out in the field the past two days so haven't had the time/motivation to be at my desk when I get home.

I have thought about trading in my 95 for the new one but just can't bring myself to do it! Have to find a way to get one more bike in the garage!

Here's a few more pics. For some reason I thought I had taken more but I guess not.

    2 more Ducatis...

What I thought was a fluke, turned out to be a poor paint quality on a couple of KTMs. This was the new color "Orange Peel"

I had to snap a pic this one. The Progressive booth had a place to get your hair cut!

Lint, we were at the show on Saturday. We took the cage just cause there really isn't any way but slab to get to Long Beach, plus if any one of us found something worth while to purchase it would be easier to sheep it back.

I've been curious about the s1000xr, I just wonder if I would enjoy the power band as much as I do the Duc. More torque at lower rpm. It's probably a lot quieter and smoother.
