Most US plates are reflective so I took a shot of the plate on my car using the mini-flash that comes with most consumer type digital cameras. The "flashes" are good in general to about 10 to maybe 15' The result was a blown out exposure. To get a shot with enough resolution to fake out the recognition systems that the cops have in place, might be more difficult than one might think.

If everything cops say or do was the unvarnished truth, we wouldn't need courts of law. Maybe The Donald will fix that for us after he decides on the new uniforms.
