Went out for a ride on both my bikes today. Just thought I would post a picture of the VFR & CBRF2 side by side.

Beautiful bikes! I'd be interested in seeing your thoughts on how the two bikes compare and contrast.

I wanted one of those F2s so bad back in the day. Instead, I was stuck on my EX500 and saving to buy a CBR. Never made it. Every time I see a survivor, brings a big grin to my face. Nice bike. Oh and the VFR too.

Cbr is a lot quicker steering, well it feels that way, feels more over the headstock where as further back on the vfr. Power delivery more low down grunt on vfr with the take off when vtec kicks in, the Cbr you need to work low down and just wants to keep on going when higher up rev range.

I miss my F2... But actually when I test rode the VFR while I still had the F2 I found that the VFR had much lighter steering. I remember being impressed that while the VFR was about 100lbs heavier than the F2 it felt lighter when moving. That and everything was much smoother, from the engine (it didn't buzz like the CBR at higher rpm) to the gearbox, which I still contest is about the best gearbox and clutch I've ever used. Come to think about it, I guess the only thing I miss about the F2 is the sound... there isn't a bike on the market where you can toggle between V4 and I4 exhaust note is there?

I bought the F2 from a local guy here in town. He was the second owner of this bike and purchased the bike back in 1996 and put on 7000 miles and then parked the F2 in a warehouse.

very nice combo! I have a similar setup only reverse (old 91 vfr750 and newish 08 cbr600rr) and I love it.

Where do you live? It looks nice and hot there.

I would give it a 9 out of 10. The F2 runs perfect and idles smooth. Garage-kept for the last 20 years so, it has ZERO rust. This bike is hard to come by, especially in this great condition. Low-down: Fuel system (carburetors, fuel tank) has been cleaned - carburetors have been synced and front forks have been completely refreshed with oil, seals and dust covers. Has fresh Mobil 1 Synthetic oil with OEM filter. It has new chain and sprockets, spark plugs, new battery, new Honda OEM grips, K&N Air Filter, new OEM fuel lines, OEM fuel petcock and new OEM carburetor fuel rail O Rings, D&D Full exhaust system, almost new Dunlop Q2 sport tires.
