    Just a reminder folks --- super moon peaks tomorrow but tonight it's already crazy huge!!

    just was talked about here on the weather report, we're clouded in, so no super moon for us here in the PNW . heard it's 14% larger and 35000 closer, lol why it's larger Doh..

    Mine was taken with a DSLR on a tripod with a 55-300mm lens. Should've come out better with that setup, but it was on my deck, in the middle of town with a streetlight only 20 feet away.

    Tonight's should be even better since moonrise is a good 45 minutes after sunset (at my house anyway). It always looks the biggest right above the horizon.

    14% larger looking and add that to seeing it near the horizon with the earths atmospheric distortion and it should look big and bright.

    I saw it last night and you can see it again tomorrow night, all will still look full. only a finely tuned measurement could tell the difference in size difference from these 3 days. . So if you not able to see it tonight look tomorrow, right when it rises over the horizon to get the full effect. As soon as it get around 10-15 degrees above the horizon it loses the earths atmospheric magnification and will look considerably smaller.
