Did my first ride with the Stompgrip on my bike. Big difference. I can now easily stay back from the tank. This in turn balances the bike better and makes it much easier turn. A favorite on ramp of mine gave me a good indication and I was able to hold a higher speed, with more lean angle as well as staying tighter in the turn, instead of drifting out, so this makes my bike and I safer as well.

I'll go back to the cute little fish. But it's Veteran"s day, so I thought I'd put up a pic of me from my past.

Got out for a ride again today. I took a good friend riding, her first time on anything other than her BFs Harley. I've converted her. Lol

She's been awesome this past week, and helping me get my head in the right place again. I'm very thankful to have such a great friend.

The moon was amazing this evening.

I got new EBC wave rotors in the mail, (again, first set that was on the bike were warped, then the replacement set got rusty. Not enough to damage them in any way, but rusty still. Shot off an email to EBC and new replacements came via FedEx today. They take care of their people.

Bought a VFR lockset on eBay. The wiring to my old ignition (which wiring the thieves cut just south of the ignition switch) has 5 wires. The new ignition in the lockset has only 4 wires. I am thinking this has something to do with the wiring harness recall work I had done many moons ago . . .

Had to get out of the house and ride, so I went to the BU. I would have posted an invite but I was feeling more like doing this solo. Just wanted to get on the bike and go, make my own schedule and stops sort of thing. I started at 7AM and was there and back before 11:30A. Took a few of my favorite roads but did them in the opposite direction of what I would typically do. Made this short video with rear camera as PiP and as the sound track, it sounds so much better than the GoPro!

Now how cool was that.. Nice, so what is BU short? for for those that don't live there.. Now all you need is another cam to watch the dash rpms & speed. I'm guess since i didn't hear a lot of shifting 2nd? maybe 3rd? very well done, don't these 5th gen just sound great?

Sorry, BU is short for Malibu. Mostly 2-3 gear. These roads are tight and a bit bumpy in case you can't tell! Couple of times I got bounced out of the seat on another stretch of road. Still, Jamie's work makes a HUGE difference! I guess so did the Bridgestone S21s as I don't think I have anything left to call a chicken strip!

Nice OOTV. Be careful when you start getting that for over on the fronts, you are at the edge of low side. The back all the way over is no problem. Just be ready to do the Marquez elbow push up. Lol.

Took the VFR1100ST out again today, 500 km in 6 hours, not a bit of it straight. Enjoying a beer and a lie down now!

Great views around Kawhia Harbour, dry and warmish but too darned windy.

To be honest I was quite surprised to see this as there usually is an 1/8-1/4 inch strip along the edge of the fronts on all three of my bikes. I recall at least a small strip after my track day so I was definitely surprised to see this today, I didn't think I was really doing anything more than I did at the track.

I am amazed that anyone would ride much less buy a (gasp) Honda with a shaft drive. You'd think we Honda riders would have learned that this kind of lash up is dangerous from all those deaths caused by BMW and Motoguzzi. Besides when real biker chains wear oot. they can be sold to harleydoods for belts to keep their pants up and attach their wallets to their belt loops. This is not only cool but foments recycling.
