    Hell Yaz!

    Nice looking RWB.

That shop would do quite nicely for anyone here, I think.

The fridge is to the left out of the picture. There is a full kitchen.

Thought it would be easier getting you the link seeing as I know how to find it. You will see that the bobbins are on the actual brake discs and not the pads but I can see where you would assume that without realizing the term Bobbin.

I actually knew the term "bobbin" but never heard of them getting dirty and causing problems. Worn yes. I made the assumption you were talking about the sliders. My bad. Thanks for the link.

You can see mine in the shop picture. I sold it since that picture was taken. I cried. But I just didn't ride it enough and it freaked me out a few times. The low end grunt got me in trouble more than a few times. Still an awesome motorcycle though.

I never did either until someone brought this top my attention. Made quite the difference for me and as you saw, a few others here. I suppose the climate where you do a lot of your riding may play a part in this too. Is is surprising how much brake dust that comes out with the brake cleaner when you do this.

Next brake job for me will likely be a total brake job including lines. I am still running originals except the pads so it is time.

Awesome, I've never had the opportunity to see their show - I wasn't really aware of their history until I looked them up just now. According to wiki they opened for Led Zeppelin for their concert in SF back in '73! Their known for putting on crazy theatrical shows, check this out (sorry for hijacking your thread Dennis -lol):

Nice, I've had 2 5th gen, and finally last year picked up the 07 anniversary edition (very low miles), love the looks of that bike. First two things I did, installed an digital voltmeter (to monitor any potential battery/regulator problems), and then heated grips(the el-cheapo adhesive wrap that goes underneath your stock grips work great). I also changed all fluids and (brake/clutch/coolant/oil etc). The bike had a throttlemeister cruise control grip on it. A total POS, took it off and thru em away. A set up that requires two hands to set is nuts, the real problem i had was it contributed to a less than fluid throttle action. It works by having a metal contact point of the bar end create resistance against a rubber portion of the grip. Even totally relaxed off position there was slight resistance creating a sticky throttle action. I was spoiled by the fluid throttle action of my 5th gen, this one was horrible until i fixed it. I simply changed to the el-cheapo throttle rocker type that works far better. Another hint, your throttle has a plastic sleeve that fits and rotates on your metal handle bar end, that metal bar is painted, in time the paint wears off and collects unevenly on the inside of the plastic tube which can lead to a sticky throttle. I removed that tube, cleaned it, removed paint from that portion of the bar and inside of the tube with very fine abrasive paper, then coated it with sil-glyde. My previous throttle action was sticky, now its butter smooth.
Oh yes, i also replaced the OEM shock.
