I just shimmed my shock, waiting on the Mrs. to come home, then I'll test it. I'm unsure of the actual ending amount of shim, but the rear tire is almost touching when the bike is on the center stand... It's just off the ground enough to spin. I'd have to lay down to see under the tire.

ETA: I talked with one of the Bridgestone Moto tire support guys today regarding my T30 Evo tires, as I had a few questions, mostly centered on which tire has the capacity for greater lean angle than the T30, and I found out that the S21 gives you up to 60° lean angle. If I get that on my VFR, I'm either doing something really right, or really really wrong...

I have scraped both my feelers so hard they actually broke off. Then I picked up the bike.

Cleaned and adjusted the drive chain tension on the VFR
Did tension on side stand as manual stated.

Worried now that on centre stand chain is a bit tight

I used to scrape pegs regularly in the mountains near where I live on the 5th and 6th gens. using PR2's then wore them down almost all the way. I'm convinced the pegs are higher up on the 8th gen. as I haven't scraped them yet. But, I'm no longer the hoodlum either.... just a choir boy now.....:smile-new:

Going to gas up with non-corn fuel then ride to the hills and dales on a perfect Fall day to scrub in a brand new set of tires. I used to not think much scrubbing in was necessary until a rear almost came out from under me in a turn about 30 miles after being first mounted. One of those instances will make a believer out of ya. I look forward to the awesome handling of new sneakers. ; )

AM, you could easily sneak up on someone with that all black riding clothing but the white bike may be a problem. But then you aren't overly sneaky.....; )

I was just looking at peak foliage maps. Your area looks near peak. Photos? ;) Have a super ride!!

I'm heading into Arkansas next weekend. It will be chillier there (in the 60s), but worth it.

Funny you say about me sneaking up on someone. I stopped at a car show last night. As I was on foot looking around, I scared the bejeesus out of some poor fellow. He told me I looked pretty threatening in all that black. If he only knew.

The other lady I love in my life got some much needed TLC today.

Sure wish it was nice enough to ride. It was supposed to be nice this weekend but turned out miserable.

I need to find storage for her and the VF1000F. House goes up for sale November 10th and I need to find my own place still.

If he only knew how threatening you were?.....LOL! It either isn't going to be a colorful Fall in S. Tennessee or the trees haven't quite changed yet. We're in a near record drought right now.

BTW, the ride had a very close call. I'll spare the details but I got so pissed I turned around and pulled the incredibly dumbass woman over (probably a mistake) that came into my lane and she got a world-class ass ripping then left her in shock which she deserved, LOL! I proceeded on while my blood pressure normalized. I was kinda surprised at myself for getting so aggressive but being nearly killed by a dumbass is all it took today.

I see too much weird shitzz going on nowadays, hence, the Baby Glock goes for a lot of rides I kinda hate to say.

Assessing the damage from the theft. Stay tuned.

AND there is a minor ding in the tank - maybe when the thief dropped the hammer he used to eff up the ignition.
