    Hey RVFR

Do you by chance have a photo of the TBR full system. My bike is supposed to have a cat being a 2000 but it has what looks like a header fitted with O2 sensor bungs. Discovered this when looking for exhaust systems for a friends 98 VFR and seeing what the one for a Y2K viffer header should look like.

I might, they are on the other machine, I'll have to go look for that, or Goggle ;) What I know between the two 5th gens, is the pipes on the 00-01s are a tad narrower, and like you said have O2s, why I brought up these for the 00-01 they are the same size as the 98-99 version, and less bungs and cat.

$615, I could have one made for me. After looking at pictures of the TBR, it just has a good collector on it and there are companies that sell all types of collectors, all kinds of diameters and metals. Out bikes aren't the bleeding edge of performance, even when cams have been switched etc, so unless someone re-releases the supercharger kit, it's not going to make that much difference. Someone with a mandrel bender, stainless pipe and some patience can bend any type of exhaust. $600 for a used pipe is too much.

Yep Lint you are so right in the cost in what one gets. and you're right about the VFR being left in the dust too. As far as Hps go, nothing well beat the SC for sure. For me it's about getting the most out of simpleness. I'm at 112hp now kinda Plateaus off at 10,5. my tuner Mike Valasco says the only thing holding it back is exhaust, there fore the hunt is on. I thought about making one myself, like you could maybe have it done, doesn't look first off all that bad of a build, especially when you look at what the market gets for used if found;) but it is tricky and all and figure at this time to not reinvent the wheel here. at the moment theres is a build hopefully at TYGA, But it's been in the works for over a year , so no telling how that will end. lol besides i got nothing better to do now anyway ;)

    Oh hey :)

I traded my old Motad header for this Two Brothers header maybe 4 years ago. The Motad I had did nothing for power (just weight reduction), Two Brothers made a huge increase in mid range and top end.

If it were as easy as you say it is, we would have a Two brothers duplicate/ Tyga header already. Its be like a year or two now.

My trap speed went from around 118mph with the Motad to around 128mph with the Two Brothers. The Two Brothers is much more than a good collector. All the primaries are fairly close to equal length, while the motad was around 10 inches in variance from one primary to another. The Two brothers has an I.D. of 35mm vs 32mm for motad/catless and 30mm for catted on the primaries and larger secondaries/collector as well. The Two Brother has much much tighter merge angles than oem or motad. Also the motad headers are packed full of chicken wire in the collectors for sound suppression.

BTDubs, I paid $500 for my motad header brand new in 2009.

I hear you. The fact that the primaries are different lengths is surprising. I was assuming that they were equal. I expected there to be a size difference well.

I need to find which company I came across recently that sold exhaust supplies; tubing, collectors, flanges etc. The sold prebent pipe as well, so you could create your own headers etc. They have a huge collection.

I suppose once you factor in R&D, testing etc, the price could climb.

There is a guy in Costa Mesa that could build you exactly what you need....Chris Parker.

    https://www.facebook.com/CPRfabrication/

This guy is no joke, master fabricator. Just look at his clients. Could build you something that would make a TBR system look like McDonald's straws melted together. I looked into it, but ditched the 6g before I actually pulled the trigger and started the conversation. Chris has done a few projects for me and all I can say is that this guy creates some of the most beautiful shit you will ever see. Do you really want the best?, because this guy is the man.

Maybe this info should be passed to the tyga header build thread.

Well *&^%! shit, what a Bummer bummer bummer. Chris has grabbed a project that doesn't let him do this now, POOP! I do want to say though what a cool dude, thinks like I do and would have been way cool to have had him make one, even though it was going to cost, it would have run a good Grand+. So back on the hunt.
