Listening to the audio the 1st guy said he hit a hole then slid on the sand in the corner, the second guy was just pure dumb ass. But Duc may be right, it sure looks to be about a 2mph tip over. Has to be one of the most expensive 2mph crashes ever.

 

If you freeze the video at 1:18, the point at which the first tip-over is happening, it appears as though that biker probably got too close to the one riding two-up, hit the brakes and turned right. Into the ditch.
Within a second, both helmets on the lead bike are turned around to the right to see what happened to their friend. And then the pilot looks at the drop-off.
Of course, the hands follow the eyes. An unfortunate, extraordinary example of target fixation.

Very much a bummer, and I hope that no one was hurt.

 

Hard to tell exactly what made these guys want to be off road riders. One factor might be too many distracting farkles bought at the Harley store. Thank bejesus that we don't add all that stuff to our bikes and never crash.

 

Sad to see anyone go down, but it happens a lot when people that can't ride buy bikes that don't handle.

 

Why not just put the power in all HD's?? Answer: because stage upgrades make them more money. More great HD marketing to the HD herd mentality dorks.

 

I think we should just stop buying any upgrades to any bikes except for things like the right oil, filters and tires.

 

I agree. Those engine upgrades allow ya to pass other Harleys whose cheapass riders suck fumes.

 

. . .and Harley got fined by the EPA for making "upgrade" components that circumvented emission standards.

 

There was no reason for those two coming off, period.

 

OK, so yesterday I was in town and saw this chick riding a Harley Low or some form of back breaking Sportster custom/rat. She was decked out in the requisite scooter helmet, torn cargo pants and tank top. I had to admit that she did look pretty damn cool.

It all happened too fast! She looked like the following image but with loose green cargo pants and more of a butch hair cut (not that there is anything wrong with a butch hair cut.)

While some dude on a "cheap ass VFR" runs circles around you. Actually heard in the local Harley dealership one time by me: yeah, we take Jap bikes for trades but because they're junk, we just collect them then call in a tractor trailer to haul them to the junk yard because they're all just junk." Strange how they will outlast any Harley, actually go around a corner and at speeds a Harley would fail at and have engines that are almost impossible to break due to hard running. Harley's have their place which is away from me.

 

Maybe it would be cool to hang out at that dealership posing as the new guy who is going to haul the Jap bikes away, then take them and sell them on Ebay.

What pisses me off bigtime is that Harleys are the official bike of The Simpsons, South Park and Oprah.
