Been working on my vf500 for quite sometime now.
    Bought as a non runner.
Almost complete but finally did clutch master rebuild etc and blead the system.
Since and firm and you can hear the pushrods moving.
However put the bike in car and the wheel is locked pulled in clutch no real difference.
Does that mean the clutch plates are knackerred, don't think,I have air trapped as the lever is tight
    All the way
    Any suggestions
    Cheers
    Chris

Your clutch plates are likely just stuck together from sitting. Pretty common. Couple ways to try and un-stick them without dis-assembly. Get bike up to temp, shut off, put bike in gear and pull in clutch. While holding in lever, violently rock bike back and forth. Clutch could free up. The other less safe way is if you have the ability to get on a not busy side road or big parking lot, get bike started and get a rolling start in neutral. Put bike in gear (rememeber clutch won't work). In first gear with clutch pulled in, do very hard on-off gas lunges til free. I've had to do both over the years.
