Nice. I really like my Dainese two piece leather suit. All day comfort (under 90 degrees at least) and track day level protection.

Interesting to note for Dainese, that when bought as a "two piece" suit i.e. Laguna Seca, AVRO, Veloster, the jacket and pants do not have pockets (Other than internal jacket pocket). However, when bought as separate items, "mix and match" if you will, you do get pockets on most jackets and pants. Some jackets even have quilted liners, vest or full sleeve. To add insult to injury, you cannot take the jacket or pants from a two piece suit and match it to one of the separates, the zippers are different!

Their perforated leather suits actually flow a lot of air, I rode with mine in 100+ weather several times and as long as I was moving, it was no big deal. Once you stop though, you warm up pretty quick! The Cycle Gear Heat Out stuff works pretty good for summer time and their Freeze Out when the temps drop. Wearing good under garments helps a lot IMO.

 

The jacket has that perforated material inside, the pants I really didn't check out, but fit great and ordered the perforated ones.
Boots fit great, just saddle soaped them, wonder if I should do my jacket or just break it in first.

D got everything at cycle gear WIM didn't have much of of gear except helmets.
The girl gave me a couple $100 off because the jacket alone was upper $600's---- Revzilla is there sister company, same prices--- had RANDY chk while I was tryin on everything.

You'll find that just about everyone who sells Dainese has the same price, hardly ever discounted. Unless it's a closeout or special sale, not many will have a lower price than MSRP, so her giving you $ off was cool. Now all we have to do is find time to go ride together Brother!

 

Most of the new suits come with anti-microbial liners and have "honeycomb" style padding (At least the Dainese does). A lot of the one piece suits often have removable and washable liners. If you plan on getting a suit, unless you are a track rider, get a two piece suit or jacket and pant separates that zip together. One piece suits are great for the track but when you're not on the track/road, they can be cumbersome to walk around in or even sitting down to eat. Having a jacket that you can remove and not have half dangling about your waist is so much better. Besides, getting on or off a two piece suit is a one person affair. Some one piece suits are a bitch to get on or off, particularly if you don't wear a full length under suit.

 

What Daryl mentioned, LOL yea one pieces are something else, quite the chore for off and on if they are fitted right. yes made for serious riding, LOL No restauranting with those. besides they make one walk funny. But boy O boy on a bike fitted right they are something else.

Exactly, it's the close out price for the pants but after tryin on the matching jacket that fit tits, just about shit my pants when I saw the price, I said can't get it at that price--- so ya she was very cool and helpful

Yep, I bought mine as a mix and match. Jacket doesn't have pockets, but the pants do; both are perforated and I've ridden them in 100 degree plus. Like you said, as long as you're moving, they're good; get stuck on a long string of lights, and prepare to bake. I've also worn them down to 40 degrees with Freeze out gear under them, and it is bearable. I've even thrown Frog Toggs over them for riding in the rain all day in Norcal.

Like I mentioned before, I love my Dainese gear.

 

Love my D gear too. When I first bought my suit, my wife said "Are you even going to wear that often enough to justify the cost?" Several years later and it's still my go to suit.

I found that wearing a rain suit over the suit helps reduce cold wind factor too. Coming home from R3 one time I had to put on my rain jacket on, as it was too cold to continue without something to block the wind.

I have been looking about for a new two piece perforated suit. Mine is really showing its age. It's a JR that was my original purchase with the bike back in 06 so it has served me well. But both my leather two pieces are a bitch to get zipped back together especially if you are wearing them at the time. Even hard when they are not being worn. I get the strangest looks from people in restaurants when I do that.

Looks like it will be a while before I can afford a new suit though. House repairs and replacing what was stolen from me his past summer has eaten away at my cash flow. I have looked at Dainese too but have not settled on them. I swear by Underarmour heat gear underneath the suit. I have a couple sets of UA Hockey gear. Suit comes off really easy when you have sweat in them. And if you have sweat, and you are moving, it really cools you down. Kept me comfy while riding about Arizona when I came down for R3 in 2012 and when I crossed over to Winnipeg from R3 in 2014.

 

I'm carrying a few extra pounds around the mid section, but even at that the Dainese two piece isn't too difficult to zip together while wearing it. The thinner you are the further around the 360 zipper goes, so it should be even easier for the skinny folks to zip together.
