The bottom one is cracked or has a defect in the "R". I'd hate for you to mess up your bike with those. Just send them to me and I can dispose of them for you.

On the other hand, I like them. Mind sharing where you picked those up?

Those look like raised letter emblems. Is that what they are? Or do they just look 3D in the pic?

Yes, they are the emblems for the overseas 8th gen - got them from lingshondaparts.com in the UK. See this earlier thread for more info: http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthre...hts-in-the-mirrors-and-the-quot-VFR-quot-logo

So I've been playing around in my garage with a dozen various placements (sweating like a pig lol) and I think I like them best immediately above the "Interceptor" emblem and 2nd best on the rear fairing just below the seat. Here's some pics:

I'd vote for above "Interceptor" or on the subframe. The others seem too distracting for some reason. You could remove "Interceptor" altogether.
Whatever you do with them, they are cool. Nice find.

I agree, it was the first place I put them and I like how "VFR INTERCEPTOR" just flows together (I think the 5th gens also have "VFR" directly above "Interceptor"). Here's another pic with the flash on. Hopefully I won't screw up putting them on - lol. I'm supposed to be getting my exhaust tomorrow too - woohoo!

Anything for you Anne Marie - I've put them in the basket of my grandma's new bike - she should be getting to Kansas in a couple of weeks - lol

Sad news to report about your emblems Anne Marie. Granny just texted me from the road somewhere near Gainesville and said Toto chewed up the emblems! And to make matters worse she said both she and what's left of the emblems are melting. I'm so sorry! :playful:

Another vote for the first option. It works for me because the font is the same.

I vote for the first option, BUT, they match my bike better than they match yours.
Send them to me and I'll put them to good use. I'm helpful like that.

They're on! It's raining but I took some quickie garage shots - once the plastic cover came off I was pleased to see that the finish on these badges appears to be an exact match to the Interceptor badge - if I wasn't familiar with this bike I would have assumed that they all came like this from the factory in Japan. My first impression is that the bike looks ever-so-slightly more badass :playful:
