Keeping with Nicky Hayden as a topic, looks like he'll sub in for Miller this weekend.

 

I'm surprised a young and up coming rider did not get that opportunity. But I hope he does well.

 

Van Der Mark might have gotten the opportunity....if he hadn't already signed with another factory for next year. PJ maybe could have gotten a look, but they are probably just looking for a decent result after JM's busted up season.

 

Yeah probably. And Nicky still has a big draw.

There was a video interview with the owner of Ten Kate and he was actually really excited about the new bike coming next year, of course he didn't divulge much but he sounded very excited. I always joke about the RVF as it seems to be the unicorn of the motorcycle world! There is a video of Mick Doohan on MotoGP that kind of states where Honda is right now, he says something to the effect that Honda is being an engineering company more than a motorcycle company but feels like they are turning a corner (paraphrasing).

MM has other worldly talent. Who else can save a front end slide, drop 4 positions in one corner, and still fight back for a win.

His patience to not get right back in the fight right after the slide is a sign of him maturing as a racer. He waited until the bike came to him, then put on a clinic.

Outstanding.

JL ran a good race too, and if MV hadn't made a couple of mistakes, Rossi might have been challenged for third.

 

if this one flies...5 championships for Marquez....9 for Rossi....Marquez still with years to go....who will be the goat. I know who I put my money on today.

 

Who's takin over MV's bike next year?
Bet VR retires at the end of next year when the kid gives him a run for his $$

If titles were to be handed out today, as much as you may not like VR, he would be at the top of the list, however as we can all see at the moment, MM is surely on his was to take that title over. The one area that I think MM has shown his amazing talent over anyone else on the grid at the moment, is in "saves". How he is able to upright a bike that us mere mortals would have to write off to the insurance company and maybe even have ourselves carried off the road, is beyond me!

 

I thought that Iannone and a rider from Moto2 will be on Suzuki. This is what pissed off Espagaro. If you look at it though, he hasn't shown much, or at least not as much as MV.
