I've been riding super sports since I was 18, my first was a 86 gpz 900r (yea the top gun bike), after that I bought a brand new 06 gsxr 750, then a yamaha fz1 street fighter, then a 03 cbr 954rr, and I had a 96 honda magna. Between the gsxr and the fz1 I was in a wicked car accident (so long fox mustang) and injured my back, I've spent the better part of the last 7 years trying to find a bike I could ride without my leg going to sleep, super sports are no good for me now and I don't like cruisers, then along came this cherry 1999 vfr800 in tuxedo black with only 15k on the clock and man let me tell you, I have found the machine I've been longing for. This is the most amazing bike because it has let me start riding again, and it looks sweet and the sound is next to none.

It's best to use a computer vice phone, tablet or other. You have two options, one is to upload the pic the other is to link to a pic on a photo hosting service like Photobucket.

Congrats! I wonder if this bike was repainted or if it was imported since black was not an available color for U.S. 5th Gens

I'm not sure, I did read that black wasn't available, if it was redone; they did a good job. It looks like a factory job, but I really can't be sure. How would you tell if it was imported?

It's usually right on the sub frame just behind the gas tank.

Yea, I can already tell this bike is a keeper for me. I've overlooked them for years because so and so said this and that about them, so I kinda wrote them off, but after spending a few hours on her I'm extremely happy with my purchase, actually I made a trade for her.

It's funny, a friend I ride with has a few bikes, one is a BMW S1000R, which he rides most of the time and he has been riding with me and another fellow VFR owner for a while. He recently made mention to him that now he's considering buying a VFR. Most of those who knock them have never even rode them and just go by the specifications. "It's too heavy", "Not enough power", "Not sporty enough", etc.

Your right, that's the same thing friends said to me about them, but specs on paper don't mean squat in the real world. Having experience with a few different bikes in my lifetime, to me this bike is everything you would want, especially for the money.

The fact that the insurance rates are awesome compared to pure sport bikes is also a huge plus!!!
