first of all, im new to street bikes. ive been riding trials for about 5 years and am used to the power of them. twist the throttle 1/4 turn on one of those and the front end is definately going to come up. however on my 86 VFR700 it doesnt seem to do a whole lot. is there a trick to it? the way i was doing it was roll on the throttle until about 6000 rpm and let off quick and hit it hard. the wheel come up about 3 i nches and thats about all. i think the jets might need cleaning though and maybe other adjustments too. if im in second and give it full throttle it will hesitate for a little and then go like hell. any advice?

the only way i can get my 86 up is to "clutch it", and it will only do that in first. im a big guy though, 6'7" 275 lbs. so its already havin to work pretty hard. plus the clutch is slippin. i have found alot of useful information on wheelies, stoppies and such on stuntlife.com

i had the same problem for a while. You gota jus keep doing it the same way you doing it now thats how i get it up. i get it up pretty high im jus learnin how to hold it and keep it up. What i do is roll on the gas to have the rpm's to 6k but the trick is how much throttle to get to the 6K and also i make sure the speed is not passed 25mph, close the throttle, then also how fast you open it again it changes sum times but usually i open at gradually fast pace. It also depends on the confidence. jus always have the back brake covered and when people would tell me that i used it as a mental thing so jus in case sum thing did happen my mind remebers the first reaction is hit the back brake. will i hope this helps you but dont giv up i did then for about a month then 1 day i tryd and i surprised myself and i've practicing when ever i get a chance. ima try to get a video

How easy is it to wheelie a Vtec? Surely the vtec transition must be a concern, I dont even want to try but has anyone seen a Vtec wheelied?

i am sure a wheelie can be done on vtec you just have to be careful to keep the rpm's down so you dont hit vtec. personally i dont think it would be that big of a deal but you might have to be careful of the power jolt.

When the vtec kicks in my wife's feet are often lifted off the footpegs ( normally when she's daydreaming, its such a smooth ride) it can be quite a jolt, I for one dont want to be at the balance point and then have the vtec kick in, it will flip for sure.

I have used Seafoam for alot of different things and it works great. I used it on a mower and weedeater that had been sitting for a while and they work good.

    That's not a mouse nest. It's a mouse condo.

where i live there's a 76 gas station that 100 octane gas at the pump it cost$5.40 a gallon. Ive put $10bucks on an empty tank and feel a big diference on my viffer. Normally i always put 91 and i feel diference between 87 and 91. But diffinetly the 100octane makes it runner its jus more expensive also ive noticed it lasts longer too. sumbody else try it and see if u feel anything differnt

Yea, if I put in premium,I notice something different too......the bike seems to accelerate faster.

Wait a minute, I think its only because the GVW is down.....yep, my wallet is lighter.

Next time try and post something a little bit believable instead of "I feel the difference between 87 and 91"
