Two pipe questions for the group:

    1. Any agreement on a good replacement skip-onI saw the Akra, but's quite expensive....

    2. With a new pipe, do you need to tune anything (EFI mainly)? If so, Power Commander? Hope 'no' to both questions!

I'm not interested in any 'full systems'.... just a new canister to get a few ponies, but mainly a meaner sound...

    thanks!

I'm looking for a slip-on as well. I'm leaning towards the Delkevic - sounds killer with the dB killer out and still very mean with the dB killer in - their website seems to have a number of different varieties now for the 8th gen, different colors and lengths.

I'm very happy with my Two Brothers Racing Slip-On. It makes a huge difference with the sound but isn't ridiculously loud. I've put almost 3.5k miles on it and have no issues with discoloration etc.

If you're just getting a slip on, most likely no need for a power commander. If you start messing with the air box and PAIR stuff, then possibly. I hear that the 8 Gens have a better fuel management and much different than the 6 Gen, which even stock benefits from a power commander.

I installed a Delkevic 14" polished stainless on mine last week. I asked the same thing about a tuner, and was basically told I probably didn't need one. I've put about 150 miles on it so far. I took the DB killer out prior to installing and it has a nice howl to it now. Below is a pic so you can see what it looks like.

Although the look is very clean, over time I was not satisfied with the sound and was actually looking to replace it until that DUI driver tried to kill me.

Yeah I've seen that vid before - the comments on YT to that video made the reviewers look like partisan morons - justifiably ripped them a new hole in their ass :peaceful:
