It's funny that you say that as I was editing the video I thought the two angles weren't matching up and that I should look into putting the camera in the center front of the bike. I know a few times I went a little wide for my taste but never over the line.

Tonight I installed my ST1300 tank pad and tech spec tank grips

Fairly happy with how it looks.

Every time I see the white and black colour scheme it makes me want to repaint mine. Looks really nice and the ST1300 tank pad looks really good. Way to clean though, get out and dirty it some...

If you shop around you can find the TS pads for a reasonable price. :)

It certainly can be, but as Jeff said, there are some reasonably priced one's available online. Mine cost $57 USD + postage to AUS. Here's where I bought it: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HONDA-TA...=8d55e6fe75374927a218561479ccdf16&pid=100102&

Thanks man, It's funny you say that because I was really keen on a red one! You're right, it's too clean at the moment lol. Once I can ride it every day I'm sure it will be as dirty as my Kawasaki :p

I always figured that a black and white bike is one of the most visible rides out there. They may miss your red sport bike but give a bike a cop look and they will see it a mile away. That one looks fantastic by the way.

I took my VFR the 45 miles to the shop because the Yamaha factory Demo is going on. I wanted to ride the Yamaha SCR950 which is a Bolt in Street tracker clothing. I was set to ride in the 4:00pm group but never got the chance. Rain was moving in. They put the bikes away and I high tailed it home. Now I have my name in the Yamaha corporate data base and I will get all kinds of marketing crap and I didn’t even get my ride. I confided in the sales manager that I really wanted to ride the SCR950 and he said that he wanted to ride that one too. I think it is going to be a good seller at around $9000.

As for the VFR ride, it was a typical Texas ride that added just a little more to the squared off profile of my back tire.

I can't believe I never considered the black and white being police colours haha. I just need a set of red and blue flashing lights now.

Inb4 $5000 fine for impersonating police

You don't have to impersonate. The the average driver a white bike is a cop. That white bike could be an ST1300 or a CBR1000. They can't really tell one bike from another.

Got the new chain and sprockets installed yesterday. Not a moment too soon, by the time I got to my buddy's house, there was a spot in the chain that was so tight we had to force the back wheel to turn!

Found out some things that will need some fixing in the future...bottom bolt in the side of the fairing is rounded out, had to get up under and pull the bracket off the pan. Rearmost bolt (right by the stands) was partially drilled out....nice. We just swiveled the fairing out of the way, have to deal with those bolts another day. Old sprockets were +2 on the back, hence the wacky speedo. New ones are stock ratio.

Then....undid one of the PO's mods....I won't mention any names, in case he's still lurking on here ;) He had installed a blue neon light under the tail :puke: It didn't work anyway, and the wiring job was iffy at best. Here's the mess I pulled out: _20160828_145707.jpg

Black electrical tape seems to be the most over used item when wiring is done. Apparently, solder, heat shrink and other cleaner methods of adding/splicing into wire looms, are just too much trouble to use!

I went to check out a bike today that someone had "molested" and to say that they took a lot of short cuts is an understatement. Probably done by someone who never even held a pair of wire cutters, or even knows what a terminal block is! Yuck! I'll most likely be helping sort the bike out later next month. The owner is in the Navy and is being deployed so helping get it back in running order while on deployment was volunteered, so I offered to help the volunteer.
