I just ordered a pair of those tech spec tank grips. Was having difficulty finding a good pic of them on the 6th gen and was unsure how they'd look. This has assured me that they don't look out of place :p

Do they make frame and space pads... especially to cover the gap on the under sides of the tank? Because my legs are too short to hug the tank. LOLZZZ

But really, those pads are sweet!!

Not that I'm aware of. But I think they do something material so you can cut whatever shape you want.

Smells like testosterone in here :bull_head:
Yesterday I changed the rear pads, flushed the rear brake and checked the coolant and oil on the VF500F. Both were a little low. Turns out the EBC F69 pads were what I already had, but they were very worn so no reason not to change for 20 dollars and 20 min of time. Fluid that came out was pretty bad, now the brake feels way more bitey and firm like I wanted. Bikes are so easy to work on. Does anyone have experience with the F69V Sintered pads from EBC? Are they much different?

I also added air to the front forks since they were actually EMPTY. What a dramatic difference that made. I wonder if it will leak out on the left one which has a leaky seal.

Never used the F69 ... I usually get the Double-H sintered from EBC. They grab HARD.

Strange, yellow lines are suppose to be for used for dividing lanes with opposing traffic. Had it on a written DMV test years ago.

The photo looks like the typical yellow line markings used to clearly separate the lane(s) to the left which are reserved for official HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) use (but weirdly Scubalong explained that solo motorbike riders can still use them) from the lanes on the right which were available for any vehicle. Suffice to say with traffic stacked up for miles on both sides of the yellow lines there may have been occasions where we may have used that nice wide gap between the yellow lines to sneak on through. Hopefully filtering through traffic is allowed in Cali.

Checked the chain lube condition and tire pressure. I may go rip it for 80 or so miles in the morning for a sanity break.

Yeah I guess I should have done that as soon as I bought the bike last month. I even have a vfrness waiting to be installed.

I helped my buddy diagnose a bad stator on his 2000 VFR800. I also installed some ebay levers on my VF500 and wow what a difference. The clutch somehow feels much lighter and the front brake is both more responsive and easier to modulate. Next the rearsets need attention. What a huge confidence boost to a new rider.

Wow Donovan. No doubt this was there when you got the bike, that didn't happen over night, I'm surprised this wasn't caught by the previous owner, that's just nasty. Wow!....
