Q: Would you open your home to fellow VFR forum travelers you've never met in person before?

A: Yes, and I have really wanted to do this. When I lived with Rod, back in the 80s, he had a listing in the BMW Anonymous book (it was a real book back then) and we had the best visitors, mostly riders from Europe. If you can't get away for a world tour, the next best thing is to have the riders come to you.

Q: Have you ever been caught out in the cold on a bike and stuffed your light jacket with crumpled newspaper in a bid to keep warm?

If this is like winning the lottery, I always figured that I would put a band together. I would hire musician so that we could put a first class act together with a really tight sound. I would do this until the money was gone!

Q: Have you ever been caught out in the cold on a bike and stuffed your light jacket with crumpled newspaper in a bid to keep warm?

A: No, but I remember Randy mentioning something like that when I was visiting him...or I think it was him. I also just read about that today in a moto-hack article JB posted on his FB. This is definitely something I will remember. Free newspaper ads are usually available at gas stations and whatnots.

Q: Another hack in the article was a bungee net. The $12 bungee net I bought has lasted well over 10,000 miles and has held a crazy amount of random stuff and has been stretched to the max at times and is still amazing. One of the best things I've bought for my touring gear...and ROK straps. So...what is your favorite moto "hack"?

A: Using your kickstand as a bead breaker for emergency roadside tire repair.

Q: XBox, Playstation, or Wii? Why??

A: PS3. When I bought it, it was the best all in one media device in the market. Blue ray had just beaten out HD DVD.

Q: Hypersport tires, sport touring tires, or combo on your VFR?

A: For as long as I can swing a leg over the seat and hold it up. After that, I'll move to a trike, Spyder, or get a Slingshot / Ariel type deal.

A= Bike. Consider this: You get new bikes, you keep the old ones. The old ones you don't ride as often, if ever, and they never complain and never get half of the budget for a new one...the new one gets all the farkles, all the maintenance... by choice.....until the polish wears off and you move to the next one, it never complains.....the cycle of change is more realistic. Marriage has often been described as a work in progress...thanks, but I already have a job. These bikes and this lifestyle don't pay for themselves......

Q= Comfortable traveling alone, or do you need a group to be a part of?
