Yup, still have them, in fact I should have two sets. I will check next time I am over to my storage container. (Had to buy a used container for all my junk!) You lucked out on your mufflers, they look great. They usually rust out from condensation.

Many thanks to Allyance for your brake lines !! Love the camaraderie here, and I'm doing my best to glean the best info off this forum to make my bike shine, so thank you. Happy to pay forward any info and pics as the bike progresses along.
clydethebandit has a post going regarding igniting n troubles, and I'd like to ask here about a similar issue. When I took my bike to my local repair place, they told me the reason the battery kept dying was because it was a Canadian Tire POS Chinese made battery.... The guy I bought it from had bought it new, but it kept dying for some reason, so I figured I'd get a new battery, replace it, and see if in fact that was what was causing the problems.
Bought the new battery (Japanese made Yuasa, YB14 - A2, their high crank version) had it replaced, and it seemed to make a difference early on, but now this battery has died on me as well, leading me to believe there's an electrical gremlin in this bike that's killing my battery. Any thoughts ?? I'm contemplating replacing the main wiring harness and starting over from scratch, but don't know if that's too drastic.... However, I've decided to strip this bike and build it back from the ground up - sandblast the frame and repaint/ powder coat it, rebuild the engine (or at least, fix it and replace any parts that need fixing); and paint and pimp the whole thing back to original.

Anyways, first things first.... Electrical ??!? Thoughts ?? GO !!

Have him send you the lines...then send those lines to HEL USA (MotoHeaven) and they will make exact copies. The guy you want to talk to is Jim....he actually does the assembly and has done multiple copy sets for me in braided...Many options for color, fitting material (no aluminum), etc.

    New question folks !!

Has anyone installed handlebar risers on their '83 - '85 VF750F's ?? I'm interested in doing it, for the simple fact that I find with my height (6'2"), I'm quite bent over on the bike.... it's not too bad really, but with my last ride ('84 CB700SC Nighthawk), the riding position is a bit more upright, and I'd like to duplicate that position on this bike. Thoughts ??

On the 1st gens, there is normally a black ring below the handle bars, on top of the triple clamps. The top of the handle bar should be at the top of the forks. Took mine out years ago to lower the bars, otherwise I'd send you a picture. Too old for any after market products.
