Theses two young men are not stupid by any means, they are well educated, I'm quite sure they can regain there company and dreams. They still have another round of money from investors according to an Indiegogo spokesperson, Skully went on to raise an additional $11 million in venture capital funding. The key factor is whether they can survive and pull this off. They obviously still have control of the company or someone would have gained the next round of money and reopened skully

I "donated" $30 to their Kickstarter site and got a T-shirt from Nuviz couple of years ago. They seemed down to earth and didn't make outlandish claims. They raised about $200K then, it was suppose to sell for $550-$600. Looked like it could be of more use for touring.

I guess I'm about the only one that feels more information put right in front of you while you're trying to ride isn't such a great idea. And I really don't want to be distracted by what's going on behind me 90% of the time. It's just that: a distraction.

My Oprah re-runs are not distracting. Neither are the pop ups in the helmets that will be selling shit aboot ten minutes after the first one hits the streets.

Very soon, Speed won't have to share his smoke. CA is next in line to decriminalize the devil weed.

the intrusiveness of modern technology is unnnecessary in most of the applications in which it is deployed. Technology is, more often than not, more dangerous than what it is trying to protect you from. If I wanted added enhancement, it wouldn't be a fucking motorcycle helmet.

I get what your saying, and that a lot of you do not like technology in this area, you think it would be unsafe. But no one is forcing anything upon you, you don't have to buy one if you choose not to. However this technology can and will benefit other people in the world most definitely. I came up with ideas along similar lines and got a patent on my idea years back, my idea while was similar it went in more depth and was not focused on the motorcycle riding community per say.
But I am a person that looks for better ideas and ways to improve upon things, but yet some of you make the accusation that I must be smoking something ?
    IM NOT.
this is still a free nation where there are dreams and freedom to do as we choose. People have not agreed on things from the beginning of time. Republicans and Democrats, the Hatfields and McCoy's, go on and on. But because someone does not agree with you and you choose to make then a outcast and say that they must be smoking something is shallow minded.
Should we have a communistic state and do away with the freedom of choice ? I think not.

I think you may have take a huge leap in logic there. LOL I, for one, didn't consider you guilty of smoking anything, I can't say about anyone else. I certainly didn't mean to suggest that you can't have your opinion about anything. Sorry if I came across that way. In this particular case you're wrong with your inference that I don't like the technology aspect of the HUD. It's not the technology that I don't like, it's the possibility of information overload. My opinion is that people don't need more information just because there is a new way to make it available to them.

You are certainly entitled to your own opinion and are free to shout it from the rooftops if you so desire. I just happen to disagree with it in this instance.

And like i said no one is forcing anything on you. When microwaves came out everyone was against them but yet now it's an every day occurrence to see one and use one. I understand what your saying about overload and yes in most cases it will, however i do not think all of this technology should be use in the general plublic. Could you just imagine with my idea a regular joe on a motorcycle tooling down the road surfing the web ? If he was not highly trained in that development i would not want to be riding near him. But in some areas this could save lives and help others. Simply if its not for you dont do it.

It worked well for google glass. LOL

I think you are really missing the point. Your determination to think Skully was the holy grail is borderline lunatic obsession at this point. You are comparing apples and oranges in many of your analogies. It is not that most people are AGAINST technology (or we would not have PCs, internet, smartphones, online banking, use Uber, etc) it is just sometimes technology can be deployed in a situation were is it not deemed necessary, or more likely in a "safe" manner. You are confusing our not wanting, or needing this particular (majority in this case), as almost being against change. Your astonishment with the "lack" of technology, and persistence in not understanding the full nature of everything involved is what perplexes me. If riders were demanding this need in droves, then, maybe, there would be more push to develop it. Then maybe Shoei, Schuberth, Arai, Motorrad, etc, would be all burning the midnight oil trying to come up with an enticing way to grab our business with a HUD equipped helmet, that also automatically dispenses an air fresher, massages your head, as well scanning your braining for cancerous tumors. Can you imagine the first person toe get in an accident with a Skully helmet? Running to the nearest sleazy lawyer and testifying that the HUD distracted me, confused me, blinded me, came off and hit me in the eye,....and I want to sue them for 10 million dollars.

If you are so for technology of the future, I am sure you are driving the latest and greatest longest range electric (hybrid) car and motorcycle. If you are not and early adopter, you are not fully supporting the advancement of the technology. Of course I am being silly, just because you are.

I know you will continue with your same argument until you are blue in the face, but maybe at least you will be thinking otherwise....in time. In the meantime, have fun reading your patents in your $3k Skully helmet whilst downloading the Wall Street Journal.

Oh, and if you do have something to smoke, I'd smoke it with ya!
