Meanwhile on the Isle of Man on the Billown circuit, just over 4 miles long, Michael Dunlop won the first big race on the BMW, roaring to the front and with a 25yd lead into the first corner, he finished the 7 lap race with a 26 second lead

It was so fast and so few laps it was like speedway, took him less time to win the race than a lap of the TT course

Honda should sign him up, but first they'd have to get a competitive bike, Michael walked out on Milwaukee Yamaha 2 days before the Superbike TT race last year because the bike wasn't competitive

Last weekend saw British Superbike at Brands Hatch, Jason O'Halloran had the Fireblade in the lead for the first few laps in the first race, he was carrying so much speed into the corners it was scary, but pretty soon the Kawasaki of Leon Haslam and the the Ducati of Shakey Burne were past him on the 5th lap ... Rossi could learn a lot from riding with that lad

UlsterGP this weekend:smile-new:

Austrian GP this weekend. Curious to see where the Repsol riders come in time wise. The Ducs seemed to dominate the testing, but testing isn't racing...

The weather looks set to play a part.....new track, wet or mixed conditions.....Petrucci Time! (Not that I really believe that, just throwing it out there)

Or Redding, or Miller, or Crutchlow....flag to flag, seems the good bet is on MM.

Wow! Some really good action today in MotoGP qualifying. What looked to be a run away for the Ducs, they got a wrench thrown in the works! Hope tomorrow's action is even better.

He also did a good job of avoiding taking out his team mate during practice.

Watched Moto2 earlier, watched "The Professor" do his thing! Going to check out Moto3 before bed.

Change of ownership, unclear vission for the facility, construction. Track has really only been a viable option since maybe 2011 or so. It is a great venue now though.

Wow, rain surely changes the positions in MotoGP, as does tire choices! Today was all about tires it appears.

Cal has had it in him for a while, 2nd to Rossi last year until he fell off 2 corners from the finish

Just what he and the LCR team needed ..... Great race too, the best for several years

Scott Redding was doing well in 2nd until his tyres went off

As for Dovi, words fail me, I had a lot of respect for the guy, but what a fool he made of himself and the Ducati team, Lorenzo wasn't much better, Ducati must be looking at next year in a different light after their performance, or lack of .....Lorenzo 16th at one point, his report card is definitely going to have "could do better" on it

As for Cals win :congratulatory:

I thought you would be happy with #35 winning and the last Brit was 35 years ago.
John I finally got around to watching the Southern 100 Isle of Man races. Wow that is just crazy racing. Michael Dunlop is really on.

The Southern is real road racing, the TT is a time trial, the massed bikes at the start are something else ... Michael Dunlop was totally on the case, good to see him back winning

There's been some good racing recently from the Armoy meeting, Joeys old stomping ground, here's a clip from the 1st Superbike race, ... there's lots more, it's on the free TV channels over here

That clip was from last year when Andy Lawson died. Sad day. Crazy to see the rpm's hit so high when he's in 6th gear flat out and the bike comes off the ground every lap in the same place.
