what did you do to your vfr today?

I had just used it on the last ride to scatter some deer away from the shoulder. It's the stebel nautilus clone Harbor freight sells.

 

It's too nice of an evening to just chill in the house, nothing on the boob tube, thinking what the, I'll just take a little jaunt on the viffer, besides, I need to swing by and say hi to Mom. Next hit up a nice little set of turns. Then a nice calm stroll through town to top it off, man hard to have it any better. Have you ever just kinda putted around in town listening to the reverb bounce off the buildings? Sweet music.

 

I'm with her on this. Great pics.

So today I went over to Duccmann's house and changed his front brakes and put a new radiator cap on it. He let me/helped me wash my bike, which it sorely needed. Thanks Mr. Ducc!

(The apartments I'm in don't allow you to wash anything here anymore.)

Just racked up some commute miles as usual, nothin crazy. Friend swung by to pick something up from me while I was at work so we snuck a couple pics near a puddle. Phone cams just do not handle low light well... One of these days i'll get some pics of my two together at the same time somewhere

 

Forgot to mention, though not so much what I did with the Viffer, but did get the CBR out as well , gota tell ya the viffer vs. CBR1000, not like its a no brainier, but the VFR as a road bike is way better, at least this 5th gen is. still nothing like putting down the power to have a Holy shit this cbr1000 is fast and wicked be cool to have it all in one bike ......... rsvr tuono..??

 

Oh crap! Don't start the Tuono itch again!

I keep the Superhawk around for that very reason. It's fast and it has tractor like torque.

 

I'd get a Suzuki Bandit 1250S if I had the money for a hooligan bike.

Those things have stupid low end torque.

I loaded Storm up for our trip we're leaving on tomorrow. I also lubed her chain.

She's due for an oil change when I get back.

We're off to celebrate my health and visit the site where the Black Stallion passed in my head on collision with the semi truck last year. August 5th marks the 1 year date. I'm truly blessed to have traveled so much this year and in the company of so many good friends.

I would stay on the road and camp all year if I had the bank account to do so ... in the company of some very close friends of course.
