Baja No Pinch tool. Works amazing. Tires are so easy to install with it.

New tires arrived. Going to pick them up at UPS and install them.

If you can find other riders with the Packtalk, I recommend using the DMC mode. There are two riders I frequently ride with and when we went to the DMC mode it works flawlessly. We can come in and out of range with no problems.

One time I met up with them and showed up early and went down to the cafe that is just below the gas station on the hill. As I was gearing up to head back up the gas station, putting on my helmet I hear the other two talking and wondering where I was. We all were connected just being in proximity with one another.

Didn't you just put new tires on a few weeks ago? I thought you had just spooned on some new T30 EVOs? Did you ride through that set already?

I'm intrigued. I would assume a rookie could learn to use this without too much trouble?

Put new T30 EVO tires on just before the SD trip and I have well over 10,000 miles on on them since and down to the wear bars. Between interstates, miles, and heavy loads, I'm chewing tires down in a hurry ... I'm trying the GT spec T30 EVO now.

Super easy to use this tool and I highly recommend it for anyone who does their own tires. Literally mount your new tires on to the rims in minutes. Cut the old ones off to maximize your tire installation time.

I put the GT spec on mine last weekend, that tool would have helped...

How are you liking the GT spec? Did you try the regular spec prior?

If it's any consolation, John Ethell of Jett Tuning told Duccmann to not worry about the valves until 50K miles. I know you don't know who John is, so here's a small bit of history; http://www.jetttuning.com/about-john/ This backs up what I have heard from the different Honda dealerships and they all say the same thing.

No, Had the Michelin pilot 2 before. I actually didn't know that there was a non GT spec option when I ordered them. I'm very happy with them so far, only got 200 km on them though.

Tell you what, I got a chance to ride several miles on them last night.

I like the GT spec better than the non-GT. Handles even quicker and the ride is oddly plusher despite being a stiffer carcass.

Coming down from wheelies felt much smoother and you could feel feedback from the road even more without being rough.

We'll see today how they handle with a bit of a load.

I'm really happy with them but I do find it to be a harsher ride than before, still a bit nervous with the cornering but it has stuck well on the corners I have leaned into. It feels like a completely different bike now as far as the cornering goes, no effort at all in leaning.

Don't be worried about cornering. I've had them right to the edges and they are confident.

I have no doubt of that, it's more that I'm not that confident yet I think. Plus I haven't hit the right corners to actually be able to push it a bit yet. Hopefully get out with a buddy tonight and be a bit of a hooligan...

New tyres of any brand always feel a bit tippy, you got accustomed to the old worn profile and how that resisted leaning, so the new tyres feel like they are falling in really fast. Give it 100 km and you won't notice it.

Today, I changed my coolant. Bought the Honda 50/50 Coolant for about $6 cheaper at the Honda Auto Dealer. Not as bad a job as I'd thought. Old stuff had been in the bike since 2011 so it was due. Kind of hoping it will make a difference in running temps...it's been over 100 degrees here in Kansas for a while and in traffic I seem to always hit 228 degrees on the bike, several times.

I agree, but the T30s do turn way faster and lighter than the PR2s I was running. They have more camber.

I need to do this too. My bike hits over 240. Once I can, I'm changing it to engine ice or the like.
